No damage to them. Just normal (minimal) wear . They are black in color.

Got out for a few hours yesterday before the weather changes here in NE PA. The Pocono Mountains Northeast Loop was a nice day out with the little lady on the back and temps near 60oF. First day ride for me with a pillion. The FJ performed flawlessly but I will have to adjust the stock suspension next time for some of those bumps. Stopped in the Dingmans Ferry area to see the water falls, less than a half mile walk from the parking lot for two spectacular sights. Had dinner at The Diner in Milford PA, nice old historic town with a lot of choices.

Point of Interest (POI)

Summary: The route is a good mix of riding through mountains, valleys and along waterways. The overall route is very scenic and the roads are well maintained by Pennsylvania standards. Fall is probably the best time for this route with the colored leaves and crisp temperatures. Unlike other rides we have taken through PA, there are a lot of points of interests along the route if you have the time. There are a number of museums (Indian museum, Glass museum), architecture interests such as the oldest suspension bridge (Roebling Bridge), and several roadside attractions.

Just out of curiosity what types of insurance do you carry and what is your premium? I have a 250 comprehensive deductible 1000 collision, and pay approximately 320 a year. I keep 1000 deductible on collision figuring it would have to be pretty bad for me to use.

I'm selling my 2017 FJ-09 which was bought new in June 2018. Garage kept, never been down and I have its clean title in hand. Since I purchased it, I've put 2,637 miles on, changed the oil with Yamalube at 600 miles and cleaned and waxed the chain every 500 miles. Comes from the factory with LED low and high beams . Included in the listed price are the OEM heated grips, OEM quick-shifter (and original shift linkage), Shad luggage, racks, Givi windscreens (with factory windscreen) and the chain maintenance tools.

Roll Call of NT/NJ Area Riders

I just wanted to see how many of us are in the NYC/NNJ area. I live in Jersey City, but tend to ride with the Central NJ Motorcycle Riders Meetup Group, which is well organized, has a ton of ride leaders who are very active, and has several rides a week, and at least a few a month even in the winter. I also meet up with some buddies from NY state and Vermont to do multi-day rides, like track days, Color in the Catskills and 2,200 mile tour through the South last year.

Upper state NY routes?

Living in the Toronto area of Canada I think it would be nice to go for a drive in upper NY state. A close destination cross-border adventure if you will. Between Buffalo and the eastern edge of the finger lakes and east in the mountains, I think this upper NY region would be great to explore on the FJ09. I found the scenery very beautiful from the car trips I have been on years ago visiting Letchworth State Park and Lake Placid etc.

Does anybody here have good experience with the area and are there any twistier and/or nicer scenic roads? Are there better routes to follow than others?

Hello everyone. I am completely new here and need some help. If this isnt the right place to post this please let me know and i will post it in the correct spot. I am new to buying bikes from a dealer, my first bike I bought from someone private sale.

I currently am looking to upgrade my CBR500r to a 2016 FJ-09. There are several new 2016 FJ-09s in the Baltimore, MD area and I have reached out to a couple dealers in area for pricing. One dealer came back with a sales price of $7499 and a final OTD price of $9183.58. The break down of the OTD price is below.

How does that sale price look at $7499 for a 2016? the MSRP is shown at around $10,000 and the bike has almost been sitting on their floor for maybe a year and a half based on the model year. When I look at NADA motorcyles it gives a price of around $7499 but I have no idea if that is new pricing for when it came out or current pricing for an older new bike now (if that makes sense). Yamaha is redoing the line here for 2019 to the more European model if I understand everything correctly and people may be waiting for that. It has also been quite cold here and so I know they have not had a whole lot of sales this winter. Has anyone else gotten a lower sales price than $7,499? Or is the 7,499 a price I should jump on?

I am going to at a minimum try to get rid of freight, setup, and doc fees as i dont think they are required in Maryland. If I did that I would be sitting at $8153 OTD which I feel like would be a huge steal.

Red 2015 FJ-09 for sale - reduced

Time to sell my 2015 FJ-09. Great bike and I hate to see it go but it's just not getting ridden as much as it should. In fact, it has only 1340 miles on it, as of today. It's all stock with these additions -- Throttle Master to smooth out those low end on/off transitions, full set of frame, engine and axle sliders, and a set of paint protectors that are transparent so you can see the color. They also add some grip for your knees and can be easily removed if you don't like them. Everything is up to date including that recall about possible thread corrosion. I live in central Mass and can deliver within reasonable distance. Since it's the end of the season for most riders I'm thinking $7000. Any interest ?
