2022 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT, Red, as new (257 actual miles). Need to sell due to family health issues. Purchased new on 3/2/2024 with 196 miles showing. Needs nothing except a new rider. Always kept in a climate controlled garage, under a cover, on a battery maintainer. Fuel drained and filled with fresh recently. Started and ran until warm every month or so. Purchase price was $10,995 plus fees; new price with registration until 2026 is $9995. No help needed with selling, no trades of any kind wanted. No checks, cash or bank transfer gladly accepted. Clean green Oklahoma title. Located in Collinsville, OK (north of Tulsa).

Coming to you from San Antonio, just minutes away from the Texas Hill Country a great place to ride and a good ride away from Big Bend National Park. Weather in the area is ride able year round just don't go to Big Bend May through September when it is hotter than a firecracker. Today 1/20 its gonna be 75 degrees.

Due to a series of bad luck, I'll be spending two weeks in Austin for work, which means I have a full weekend of Oct 1-2 of free will away from the family. Anyone know of a reputable place to rent a motorcycle down there, heck even a scooter will suffice for transport. I don't want to uber around all weekend.

Any recommendations for roads between Talihina and Tahlequah? Starting to plan a post COVID long weekend. I'll be coming from Arkansas, and I want to see if I there are any good roads heading north from the Talimena Scenic Byway. I might cross back into AR around Fort Smith and ride through the Devils Den State Park and on to Eureka Springs.

Doing a Pandemic ride around the southwest

Hey everyone,

I posted a blog post about a trip I am doing coming up in a couple weeks around CO, NM and AZ. Not a big trip but about 2000mi, over 7 days. I am located in Denver, and am going to ride down to Winslow, AZ to check out Meteor Crater, and the Petrified Forest, then over to Los Alamos, NM (some fun roads it looks like to get there off the main freeway), then back up around CO for a bit.

I've ridden all over UT/AZ/CO in the past but its been about 5 years and this will be my first long ride on the Tracer since I got it last year (besides the purchase of it flying into SLC and riding it to Denver the next day which was 600mi. Left the dealer with "0" miles on the Odo, got it home with like 625, it was nice to get the majority of the engine break-in done just on the ride home!).

Seems like there is a call for some snow in the coming weeks around the higher elevations, so I just ordered some Pirelli Scorpion Trail II's to swap onto the bike before the trip as I've read the D222s are less than awesome in cold/wet weather. And I personally love riding in the rain/cold weather!

Any tips around Northern NM/Winslow AZ for things I should check out... being a pandemic year I am not going in or doing a whole lot other than seeing what I can that is outside. My blog post and trip details and planning is here:

Tucson to San Antonio and back in August

Looks like I might be riding from Tucson to San Antonio maybe in the first week or three of August. I'll may be coming down 285 from New Mexico through Pecos and Fort Stockton. Then onto 90 through Del Rio and on into San Antonio.

I hadn't planned on swinging down to Texas' Big Bend National Park, but there's no particular reason I can't, as long is it's mostly free of rain, floods, hail, drought, and twisters in August. I've never been there, so I don't know. But I seem to remember stories about the Big Bend country that lean heavily on the unfriendliness of the weather there. I'll have to start dropping south out of New Mexico further to the west if I'm going to visit the Big Bend, though.

Once I'm through in San Antonio, I'll be heading north on 281 to 71 to 87 and on through San Angelo and Big Spring, then on 137 to US-380. I'll even get to stop in Roswell on my way back across New Mexico. Then on to Tucson and home.

Anyway, any recommendations for sightseeing or notable twisties along or near those routes?
