If you have a favourite meeting place for flaunting your new Tracer in the UK, post the details below. Even better if they do a decent bacon bap, cob, sarnie, roll, buttie, piece 'n bacon or whatever it is called in that part of the UK. To start, I can recommend Dom's Bike Stop near Leominster in Herefordshire. It's just off the roundabout where the A44 crosses the A49. Dom has his own farm so the bacon, sausages etc are excellent. https://www.facebook.com/groups/DomsBikeStop/?fref=ts http://domsbikestop.co.uk/ http://goo.gl/maps/QMLcv In the Lake District, my friends took me to the Filling Station Cafe in Keswick. Nice cakes and burgers. http://filling…

UK readers of Ride magazine or their annual touring guide may be aware of this resource already. All routes they feature in the magazine are eventually added to this webpage http://www.ride.co.uk/Routes2/ The routes are given in google maps links and GPX file format compatible with Garmin Mapsource, Basecamp and other programs like Tyre. Areas features include the UK, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Islands of Europe, top 20 passes, a low cost tour, the Maxxis Challenges, MotoGP circuits. There's an email address if you have difficulty with any of the links. I will ask the mods to make this thread a sticky. If you have queries abo…

Hi all, this is my 1st post so I hope its in the right place. Anyway, I bought my new 2021 tracer 9 gt last October, its been faultless until today when I went to start it and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Every warning light is on inc the suppension warning. Turned it off, disconnected the battery for a bit now the ecu light is on, I can't select the different rider modes and i can't access the system settings, the icon just flashes red when i press it. Heated grips work fine. It starts and runs fine. I can access the trip counters etc.. My dealer isn't open til Tuesday 4th but I'm hoping it's nowt major. It lives in a garage and when it's washed it is dri…

Hi there, My brother and I have been talking about our bucket lists and we both agree the Isle of Man TT is our number one race to witness. Since I’m in Canada I’d like some feedback from anyone that’s actually been there. Ultimately I’d love to go over and have a bike to have a true experience but that would be depending on logistics. I heard getting to the island can be a test in itself. My plan is to go in the next two years or so, depending on travel restrictions. Are accommodations difficult to reserve? Any suggestions on places? Have a lot of questions but any suggestions or tips would be helpful. cheers Norm

I went to oulton park yesterday on my 3 day old GT,even though running in can go up to 75 so not pootling about, did not want to go up the M6 so went up the A5,it's a 252 mile round trip,on the way up there was no petrol in most of the garages,so on the way back i was getting really worried as the bike has a 18L tank only 4 gallons so i thought could possibly run out up to 50 miles from home, went to ALL 19 garages on the way back,NO PETROL,run out 6 miles from home,so an amazing 246 miles from the tank.Equates to 61mpg.

Hello, I am currently riding through Europe headed for Montpellier where I'll be living for a couple of months. I'm looking for a good and reputable place to do full service on my Tracer, as well as upgrading the bike. So question number 1 is: location of a good workshop on French southern coast/northern spain. Question number 2: What are the best upgrades I can do on the bike for around 1000-1500euro. Quick shift and suspension might be interesting! Thanks a lot in advance!

Hola, Are there any members near Herts/ Beds (or within a reasonable riding distance) who have either the #S-Y9R3-HAFT or the #S-Y9R8-HEGEHT Akrapovic exhausts on their Tracer 900s? I am currently trying to decide what aftermarket exhaust to put on my 18 plate Tracer and would like to hear either/ both of these exhausts on the tracer 'in real life' before I make a decision. Many Thanks Steve

Hi all, picking up a 2019 GT up tomorrow morning. Biker on and off for almost 40 years now, been through a variety of bikes in that time. Traded in a Tracer 700 which has been a superb choice for the last four years, but fancied a change to reflect a change in intended use from a pure into London commuter (the 700 racked up 49k) to a post COVID popping in a couple of days a week at the most, so the 900 ticked so many boxes. Really looking forward to the experience and learning from this forum.

http://www.sargentcycle.co.uk/acatalog/mt-09-tracer-2015-on-front-and-rear-motorcycle-seats.html Prices have been announced - standard 2 piece seat is £356 delivered to a UK address. This has Carbon effect fabric & black piping Coloured piping is an extra £19. Heat is extra £120 per seat (so £240 for rider & pillion) The backrest is an eye watering £365 so get a Givi topbox! The UK distributor has the rights for the whole of Europe so EU/EEA prices will be the same plus extra for shipping. Non EU/EEA countries may have to pay import tax. In the US, the seat is $470 plus $20 shipping so only about a £20 difference, which is remarkable…

Hi My Tracer GT is one year old at the end of this month, and I'm off on a European trip in the June. The bike's been super reliable but I don't like going overseas without breakdown cover. Can anyone suggest a reliable breakdown service for UK and Europe.I've had some poor experiences with the AA but nervous about using the small companies although I hope to never call them! I'll probably go for annual cover. Thanks Vic

I have fitted 4 of the new fading type indicators on my 2018 tracer gt They have the 2 wire system. My problem is I can't get them to work with a relay. The one relay won't switch them on and an led relay makes them strobe. No relay and the lights work fine but then the dash lights don't flash! If I don't need them to flash for the mot then I'm perfectly happy. See my dilemma?!!

For those in the UK, Aldi have the WD40 chain cleaner, chain wax and chain lube on special buy of the week. £2.99 a can. I think the lube is excellent, but at that price it is worth trying the whole range and see if you like it. https://www.aldi.co.uk/wd40-motorbike-chain-lube/p/008339266694801?gclid=Cj0KCQiAtP_iBRDGARIsAEWJA8j3ISFJVUHZserrYf4oLdnEwofVi7L0Tkn6dXs33KqyH7e8VJpZ5eIaAur6EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
