  1. Been trying out different spacers in different positions. So far by far the best results was adding a few mm spacers on the upper screws on the stock GT screen. Still turbulent air but it hits only the top of my helmet. Since I can't get any kind of reasonable airflow with the other screen I'm going to try and cut off a few centimeters from it and see if I can at least get some clean non-turbulent air that way.
  2. I'm definitely going to try to add something and adjust it. Will try and remember to update here how it's going if anyone is interested.
  3. So bad news unfortunately, for me. Just did a 4 hour ride with the screen from Powerbronze and it was horrible. I am 175 cm and this screen creates, although narrower than stock screen, an area of intense wind buffeting straight into my face. If I hunch down just a tiny bit it becomes silent and nice and if I stand up a little it becomes an even flow of crisp air. If I could just adjust the angle a little I might get it to work. Can you install rubber washers or something between the top or bottom screws and the screen? The screen looks really good though. To clarify, it's the Adventure Sports screen. https://www.powerbronze.co.uk/yamaha-niken-gt-18-21-345-mm-high-460-y110.html
  4. Thank you! I installed the new screen yesterday. Haven't tried it yet. If it still doesn't work I'll look into getting these parts.
  5. I completely agree. Still haven't received my short sport screen but if that doesn't work I'll just cut the original screen short with a saw or something. Can't believe Yamaha put such a bad screen on the GT.
  6. Ok, I ordered a screen from Powerbronze instead. It's supposed to fit straight on to the GT.
  7. The GT uses a different screen fitting so I find it odd that they claim it fits both without saying anything about that. I would check with the seller before buying if it comes with the necessary hardware to fit it to the GT.
  8. I'm considering the Ermax sport screen but I have the GT. I know there's some modifications needed on the fitting brackets, but is it something I can do myself or do I need to buy some parts? I can't seem to find any place that sells any parts that's meant to convert a GT to fit non-GT screens.
  9. Went to look at it today and also took a thorough test ride. I ended up signing the papers. Everything looked good. He's gonna check the recall and if it hasn't been done they will fix it, and also do a service on it and extend the warranty by another year, and that's a full warranty (not just the engine). Really looking forward now to pick it up sometime next week.
  10. I'll make sure to look at all these things. Thank you!
  11. Hello Next week I'll be looking at a 2019 Niken GT that's been a demo bike at that dealership. Is there anything special I should look out for when looking at a slightly used Niken GT? I'm also wondering if there's been any recalls or major upgrades on later models of this bike. See you around!
