  10. Thanks guys. good shout on the starting it up etc. I'll get some fuel and top the tank off today and then leave it on the trickle charger. Its just the temptation to "play" and the closest I get to doing anything with it while in my recouperation!!!šŸ¤• Thanks for the link to a diag tool too. Kilo3 - I think you're probably spot on... I have been doing that. Cheers guys Mark

  12. Hey guys, My bike has been laid up for a couple of months due to my having an operation on my neck. I'm not expected to be able to ride until early March. I've been running my bike up every week or so to put a heat cycle through it just to keep things free and moving etc (and to make me feel good !!). Yesterday I noticed that the engine trouble light stays on and I can't access the Menu on the dash. My theory is that it needs to be ridden rather than just run up in the garage but cant prove that clearly. The bike is kept on a Optimate trickle charger. Is there any DIY diagnostic device I can get to connect to the bike to see if there is a trouble code I can see and therefore interpret what's wrong? My bike is a UK spec 2019 Tracer 900GT Appreciate any advice Mark
  13. Da Ivan?? who dat? what about the foam question for the underside of the fuel tank guys? why are you doing that? mark
  14. hey guys, am new to my 900 GT so was wondering why are you removing the foam from the underside of the tank? Also - where is this adjustment made regarding APS and why? do I need a diagnostic tester to do that? any advice very welcome Mark aka Stumpyone
  15. totally agree PhotoAl - I don't have time to do that before I go I don't think. I may get the panel and then take the lights off just for this trip then put them on when i get back. They need rewiring anyway as currently they can be left one while the bike is off!! not a good way to install IMO. Ihve already done that to the point of flattening the battery as i parked nise in and didnt see them on on my customary rear glance at the bike as i walk away!! so now just got find somewhere i can get it in the UK cheers Mark
  16. Hey Thanks - Yes 2019.. sorry forgot to mention that. I can see therefore why the previous owner left it off. It wouldn't fit with the Aux lights where he placed them! Boo!! thanks again. Mark
  17. hey... 4829 miles by air!!! my son lives in Austin though but i wouldn't be coming over on the bike!! šŸ˜ƒ
  18. HI guys, Mark here AKA Stumpyone. Just bought a 2019 Tracer 900GT and currently getting to know it. First impressions are a excellent but I have a french alps tour coming up so that will be the test bed. I'm on the south coast of the UK Close to Portsmouth. Been in biking for as long as I can remember and have owned a variety of bikes not least 2 Vmax's and 2 Triumph Trophy's. Moved to the 900GT from a Honda CBF1000 as it was getting a bit long in the tooth. I've already benefitted from advice on here so my thanks to all those who passed advice. Looking forward to getting involved in topics etc Cheers
  19. Hi guys, While getting to know my "new to me" Tracer 900 GT, i noticed that where the previous owner had fitted Givi Aux lights, it looks like he has removed an under fairing panel designed to keep weather and crap of the underside of the bike. See pic. I've looked on a couple of parts sites but cant find this panel on any of the Schematics. would any of you know the part number or a site where i can get hold of one? Cheers guys Mark
  20. Thanks to all for the advice guys. I'll take the nose off and have a look to see how they have wired them in and if they haven't used either of those sockets i'll rewire. I was out again today and did the same thing but one of my buddy's i was riding with reminded me. I must get it sorted. cheers Mark
  21. Hi guys, New to the site and hoping for some help. Not long bought a 2019 Tracer 900 GT (UK) which came with Givi Aux lights fitted. They are however directly connected to the battery or an always on supply connector (not found that yet!). Is there a switched outlet on the bike somewhere that I can connect the switch relay trigger to so that it can only be turned on while the ignition is on or the bike is running? This question comes as a lesson learnt having left them on and drained the batter while away from home - school boy error on my part. Any advice welcome Cheers Mark
