I have experienced similar issues when searching. I think it has to do with using the browser back button and the site trying to avoid attacks via rapid search queries. The configuration may be a bit too conservative (2 searches within 20-30 secs is more likely to be actual users vs DDOS).

I do use the insert. I didn't try them without it b/c I wanted the maximum noise reduction. I use the silicone tips, primarily for the fit, but also for ease of cleaning. They are admittedly more expensive than foam ones, even if you consider the longer lifetime of durable ear plugs. I hadn't planned on switching to them, but I got them as a gift from the Mrs.

I was a long-time user of foam earplugs (not brand-loyal), as they blocked wind noise the best for me, but they were uncomfortable after about 90mins and I didn't like the idea of throwing them away on a regular basis after they got too grimy and/or lost their resilience. In the past year, I have been using Loop earplugs, which are both comfortable for longer periods (though, not indefinitely) and more durable. I've tried other silicone-based earplugs that I have used for concerts, but none of them stayed lodged in my ears reliably once I pulled my helmet on. I was skeptical about the Loops, given my experience, but they have won me over. I use the Experience Plus version, which offers the most noise suppression, but they now have an adjustable one that could be used for non-motorcycling purposes, too.

I removed the handguards and stalk mirrors from my '19 and added bar end mirrors (CRG Arrows). Required a bar end adapter that I sourced from RhinoMoto (https://rhinomoto.com/product-category/yamaha-bar-ends/), but now I can see behind me and the quality of the CRGs is way better than stock.

What was your reason for switching to soft bags vs the OEM hard bags? I used to have soft bags on my 2016 FZ-09 that were bigger, but I'm a fan of the convenience and security of the Tracer hard luggage. I do miss the extra volume, but was able to squeeze all most of my camping gear into the smaller side cases.

Having gone through this procedure recently, I would note that oil filters installed at the factory are often tightened WAY beyond spec and can be difficult to remove, even with the proper tools. Be prepared to put some extra muscle into it.

Are you looking to get more light in front of you or to increase your visibility to other vehicles? If the latter, I put some yellow film over my high beam, which I think makes it stand out more than two (or more) white lights. Other riders that I go on group rides with have mentioned that it's easy to spot me in the crowd. 🙂

Thanks all. Some good ideas here. I also scratched up the side contacts on the adapter to see if that creates a bit more friction to keep it inserted.

I noticed recently that the usb adapter for the 12vdc socket on my 2019 Tracer 900 GT keeps slipping out while riding. It doesn’t come all the way out, just far enough to break the connection and stop powering my GoPro and Phone. It’s dry inside the socket and the side and end connectors on the usb adapter seem pretty firm (i.e., the springs are sufficiently strong). Any thoughts on how to secure it? Thx, Ivan

I have also swapped mine out for cheapies from 'zon. I don't notice much in the way of better boot wear or vibration damping, but the wider/rubber face helps me stay planted.

I've used several GIVI tank bags, but this is my current one: https://giviusa.com/collections/tank-bags/products/st610-10ltr-tanklock-tank-bag I like the form-factor and the size is perfect for my EDC items (alternate gloves, water bottle, bungie net, multi-tool, hat, tire repair kit, etc), with a bit of expansion, when needed. It works as either tank bag or tail bag (with seat adapter). I would have preferred an adjustable bungie strap on top to the elastics, but works for attaching small items (I have my gas card: https://www.aerostich.com/gascard.html on there with a carabiner).

@3sum If you still have the bar ends (and mirrors?), would you be interested in selling them? After having CRG Arrows on most of my previous bikes, I continue to be frustrated with with the Tracer OEM mirrors. They come loose at speed, are too difficult to position, and even when I get them sorted the way I want, they don't show enough coverage.

Was your dislike for the bar end mirrors functional or aesthetic? Do you have a pic of it? I am interested in this setup, but reluctant to pull the trigger due to the cost.
