  1. hmm too bad I don't live in the US. I have a spare Yamaha Comfort seat (rider and passenger) for at T9 2021.
  2. Just a quick update on this matter I have had the new seat locked in for a week now and succesfully unlocked it yesterday. I could see that the padding was about to shrink a little due to being under preassure when locked in. So I trust it that it will get better over time
  3. Good idea. Will do that when its time to take out of the winter-storage
  4. Yeah i Saw that episode as well...along a lot of the other episodes.
  5. Thanks and you are right, CP3 is the common language
  6. Hey So as stated above, happy owner of tracer 9 2021 Tech Camo owner. Born and raised in the very little kingdom of Denmark in Europe The Tracer 9 2021 is my first Yamaha. previous bikes were all Suzuki and for the record so far I'm very fond of the switch of brands. English is not my native language so bare with me if the grammar/spelling is not pitch perfect
  7. OK I won't ask you how you know this but what I will do is express my deepest sympathy with the struggle of getting the broken key out of the lock Thanks for the input. It would have been easier if it had been possible to install some washers underneath the bracket. Since it is not possible maybe your idea of filing 1-2 mm off of the metal tab.
  8. Thanks all. Problem semi-solved I tried using force (Sitting on the seat my self) and it locked in and was in place. However it was a struggle to unlock it afterwards. I guess it takes some practice. For a short moment I got scared that I could not unlock it So..next step is to find out what options I have in case I can't unlock it and even worse if I break the key in the lock trying to unlock the seat!
  9. A few pictures to show the backside of the passenger seat. I can't seem to find the place to add washers between the seat pan and the bracket?
  10. Hmm ok. Being a not very skilled person in terms of mechanics (I'm a software programmer with no crafting talent:) ) would it be too much to ask you to make a few pictures showing what you mean? Oh and thanks for the input
  11. Today I installed the brackets for the original Yamaha side bags, and the bags as well Can't wait for some longer trips this summer now that I have the extra storage
  12. OK, thanks a lot. Will try it tomorrow. And you are saying that it got better in time for you?
  13. Allright..so you are saying to use force by sitting on it until it clicks in?
  14. OK so I recieved mine last week and tried to install it yesterday. Sadly it did not fit and to make matters worse, it is a custom made seat where I had to return my own So now I'm without any seats at all which is a real bummer. I have emailed Topsellerie about the issue and expect an answer tomorrow about what to do. The issue as I see it. The rider seat can be installed OK The passanger seat can be installed OK, but only if the rider seat is NOT installed. If the rider seat is installed there doesn't seem to be enough room for the passenger seat. Not even by using force I can make it click in to the lock I have noticed that when the rider seat is installed and locked in, I can barely get my finger down to the release lever now due to very little space. This was not an issue with the original seat leaving my to conclude that the issue is the rider seat being too "long" for the passenger seat to fit as well.
