  1. Chased down UPS as they were set to deliver 2 hours after I was supposed to leave on a two day trip. Did you know you can get a package directly from the truck with ID? As long as it is after they do their time-critical morning deliveries. As always YMMV. Anyway the comfort seat is an improvement but not a massive one. Honestly I think the seat slope mod made for more long distance comfort. I was able to do 13 hours of seat time in two days but the last 2 on the second day were pretty rough. I think i'll be able to complete the 6k mile trip i'm planning in late april with this and can avoid the $$ on the corbin.
  2. adding in my experience on my 22 GT. I bought it more for long term ride comfort thinking it would shift more weight to my glutes and away from my thighs. Installed the 8mm one. Had a real bear of a time getting the gas tank bolts to fit ( tank was probably 1/3 full of gas, my mistake). Just came back from a 5.25hr ride (with a 3 min break, 60 min break, and 3 min break), with heavy cross winds. Definitely more comfortable and I think may be what I need to do back-to-back 6-7 hour rides. I may not even need the comfort seat I ordered from the UK.
  3. i just did the same! Also ordered the seat slope mod. On the stock seat after 8 hours of saddle time over two days my bum is still sore 2 days later!
  4. Thanks for the help guys. Lone wolf, the issue is that any higher and I can't see over the top of the deflector. I think the solution is just going to be getting a much shorter screen so smooth air hits me starting at my shoulders, similar to how my FZ6 is laid out.
  5. After putting 13k on my (third) FZ6, I decided an upgrade was in order. Being 5'8 with a 29 inch inseam the buffeting above 60mph is a big deal. Even with a windscreen extender/deflector. Waiting on a puig racing and MRA sport to come in. Also I find the shifter to be too short (the rubber bit that contacts your boot). It extends out only 1/3 the footpeg...my fz6 was 2/3rd the footpeg. It's feels uncomfortable to shift without having more leverage, it barely contacts the side of my boot. Anyone know of a replacement shift lever that is longer?
