  1. A lot of people poo poo the booster plug and of course they never had one. I've used them on three bikes. The differences were generally subliminal yet positive. Especially at the off throttle/very little throttle position it's smoother. My last bike, a v85 guzzi, was improved when shifting due to when I let off throttle it didn't seem the throttle went to 0 it was much smoother. It also improved a tiger 1050 at low throttle positions.
  2. Got my two Michelin pr4 installed last Thursday. Rode that day and a bunch of mountain curves Friday. Bike felt great. I was lazy and had a local independent shop do the work. I just said balance the tires with discs on and told them the hub and lug torques (thanks Heli ATP). I believe they raised front end using an engine hoist on center of handlebars and of course the center stand. The former pr4s could have gone another 1000 miles but the wear bars showing due to scalloping on tires. It wasn't too bad actually as I have seen worse.
  3. Fantastic. I was thinking about getting the same kit for my gt. My wife talked me out of it since I trade bikes so often and may not keep the gt. Had the same setup on a 2011 bmw r bike and it was really nice.
  4. Bought bike used and have no idea when the pr4 fronts were installed. They're at 2 mm or less depth/wear bars. But I'll keep track of the new ones I'm installing next week. If I don't do better than a lot of you they will be worn out this riding season.
  5. Well I ordered tires yesterday. Angel gt spec a for rear and Michelin pr4 for the front. Most expensive tire purchase and they're not even installed. I read the angel gt fronts are bias and I wanted radial all around. I'm not quite ready for installation but will have the tires on hand. Can someone give me the torque specs for the front axle bolts? Can't find in my online owners manual and don't have service manual. TIA.
  6. I've used angel gts on other bike with excellent grip and mileage. May put on my niken this summer.
  7. I like yuasa too. There was one day to ride and the next day leaving on a trip so I got a duralast from auto parts store. We'll see how it goes.
  8. I'll keep an eye out. The bike seems to be completely stock.
  9. Reading the manual, it states do not use the dash DC socket unless the key is on? I've owned my 2019 for about 2 weeks, leaving a garmin plugged in that socket. The garmin turns itself off if no power is detected, so is there a voltage draw when the bike is off? Yesterday my battery died, down to 3 volts. Would not accept a charge. Replacing the battery I notice it's aftermarket. So it's 3rd battery on this 2019 model. What gives?
