  1. Hi again , more info gained from home grown mistakes that can help folk out hopefully. I’ve recently removed the catalytic converter from my standard exhaust plus short cut the primary/secondary baffle chambers . on swapping the exhausts I started the engine ,neglecting to connect the oxygen sensor . This immediately triggered the engine management light and it remained on. I ordered a Yamaha 4pin OBD connector but took a while to arrive , I continued to use my bike , up to 600 miles no problem with the management light on . It arrived today , used a standard OBD2 reader and connected via my adapter cable , it flagged up my suspected oxygen sensor P0030 and I erased the the fault . Note: I caused this fault so was confident it was ok to run till I could clear it ..
  2. Thanks for reply’s guys , just to note , I’m old school so I referred to my low level fuel as reserve , my bad sorry . Also I just got the bike and was curious to how far the reserve would go by noting how much I filled up each time . As mentioned I miscalculated thinking I had 4 ltrs and it was 2 ltrs . I was just a test and thought the results would be useful 👍
  3. Hi all , I’ve just recently bought a 2020 Tracer 900 and caught myself out on the reserve tank range . yes I managed to run out of fuel completely but I thought it would be good information for a forum like this so here’s the info . so the tank is 18 ltrs and of that I thought the reserve was 2ltrs , in my head I thought it would get near 50miles on reserve ( miscalculated) the exact figure on the reserve tank odometer was 34 miles when the engine started to shut down . hope this was useful information guys ?!
