  1. Of the 13,135 miles on my tires, less than 2% are highway. I avoid the highway at all costs because its super boring. I don't ride at 4000rpm all the time but I don't redline shift all the time either. I mostly ride on weekends where days are 200-400 miles each day. No commuting at all.
  2. For me it was 13,135 good old American miles. I'm close to the wear bars but not actually there yet. Iffy if it would pass inspection.
  3. see I did almost do something stupid. I do have a rear wheel stand too that does work unlike the front one. Its 80 minutes driving to get a wheel mounted so I was hoping to do them both at the same time.
  4. Thanks guys, I can take off both wheels at the same time with this method right?
  5. 13,135 miles on my stockers. I could stretch them a little longer but will replace them over the winter. No sense chancing a crash just to get the last $2 worth of tire out of them.
  6. So I want to remove my from wheel to get new tires. I bought one of those stands to lift the front wheel but it will not work, I think its the ABS sensor in the way. So, is it okay, while my bike is on its centerstand, to lift the front wheel off the ground by placing wood under the header pipe to lift the wheel off the ground? My concern is crushing the header pipe or cracking the seal at the head itself. Thanks in advance, Rick
  7. So I checked my manual. It requires 2.85 quarts with a filter change, and I have added 3 quarts on past changes. So overfilling has only been .15 quarts. Recent changes I fill via the sight glass. Hopefully that will solve any issue I may have. Thanks for all the comments.
  8. Ok, I will admit to originally believing an oil change took 3 quarts. I believe its really 2.7 or 2.8. So the most oil its ever had in it was 3 quarts with a filter change. So if it was overfilled it was by a tiny amount. Is that enough to matter? Also, since 3333 miles I have been using Amsoil only.
  9. Hi Guys, I just changed my air filter tonight at 12,400 miles for the first time. I noticed that I have oil in the front part of the airbox before the air filter. Its enough oil to coat half of the bottom of the box and enough oil to pick it up with a rag. I'd describe this as maybe a oil bottle cap full of oil but very obvious to notice. I can also see a dark 2" circle on the old air filter showing that some of that oil was sucked into the engine. My question is, is a little oil in the airbox normal? If so, how did it get there? From poorly seated rings? Thanks for any guidance.
  10. I called my dealer for the heck of it. I was clearly informed they will not swap in the new part until mine fails. The retail on the part is $80-85 depending on where you buy it. Maybe I should just pay and have it done proactively? Mine is a '16 with 3400 miles on it right now. I'm tempted to do the install myself.
  11. I run the biggest top case givi makes and I think it looks fine. Its the new V56 and my favorite one so far. For those on a budget the E45 Junior also fits 2 full size helmets. This case is great and costs half as much.
  12. I love the Givi Top case soooooo much more than the side bags. This is my 5th top case and is the first mod for any bike I buy. I can barely fit 1 pair of riding pants in a side case. The Givi never leaves the bike. Givi takes the bike from a toy to functional transportation. May not look great but I ride 8 times more per year when I have a givi.
  13. Added the factory side bags! Almost can't see them from the front.
