  1. Did you tap the bars to fit the factory hand guards? I've thought of making the switch also do to pain under my shoulder blades after a few hundred miles. I'm using barkbusters, I did have to tap the bars in order to fit the hand Guards. The trade off is you lose the sporty feel from the stock bars but the comfort i have now is superb!
  2. Bar looks great. What grips are those (look beefier than the usual grips)? If/when I decide to install heated grips that would be a perfect time to do something like this. Kept the stock clutch cable or did you have to change it out for something different? Those are BMW stock grips. They works great and I have them on all my bikes for years. I am running stock throttle cable with R1 clutch cable, it is longer than Tracer900's so if you are running everything stock, ymmv with those issues. I cannot comment for heated grips since I have no needs for it where I live, so someone who installed them can advise. Good luck!

  4. Just swapped for ProTaper Evo Adventure I think they works fantastic! The less sports bike feel but a more upright, steerable reach allows me to do you turn easily! beforeafter
  5. We used to extend dirtbikes throw out arms to do the same thing at the expense of longer travel obviously.. Fwiw that dot should line up with the pointer on the case too when the freeplay is taken up to maximise the leverage effects. Yes, the dot & arrow should been aligned, but because the Tracer had bad clutch cables, this bike was swapped out with an R1's (higher quality) cable. The R1 cable is significantly longer measured end-to-end and left me with no more adjustment. R1 cable installed Clutch adjustment before Bolt's actuator swap I took this chance to shift the actuator a notch outwards, to gain back a bit of cable adjustment on my clutch lever, that's why the dot aren't aligned. On stock Tracer's clutch cable, it is not necessary.
  6. Do you have the stock clutch lever or an after market model? Is the longer pull a problem at all? I had the Chinese levers, they were clunky and "slow", and they have a larger gap over stock lever leverage, so I swapped back the stock levers. I do have to adjust my throttle/clutch coordination because of the longer throw, but it is just a couple of minutes to get used to and my fingers are happier ever after. The R25/R3, MT-03 series uses an even longer actuator over Tracer's by 25% @ 50mm center to center. However, I do not think my size 9 hands can handle it, and it is only available in chrome, not black. Haha
  7. Swapped the Yamaha Bolt's clutch actuator over stock's. Lighter pull, however longer throw as well.

  9. Weather was hot, pushed the bike into air conditioned office and mounted the Chinese rack. Seems sturdy and shakes lesser than H&B's rack mount but I'm still skeptical when it might give way.
  10. I guess I trust peers here than Renthal's own website. I did a worksfit on Renthal's site and entered stock MT-09 bars 819-01 (according to Yamaha parts number, FZ/FJ shares the same part) I entered the street naked' part which happens to be 819-01 as well.....
