  1. LOL it is a bit garage-door-ish, but I like it. The Cal Sci is the best looking shield I've tested, hands down, and is great for commuting and short Summer rides. I will be using the Madstad for longer trips, though. I think I'll drill the Cal Sci so I can mount it directly to the Madstad bracket. It'll stick out in front a bit, but should be fine.
  2. Yup, the folks at Cal Sci are awesome. They are also about an hour away from where I live. Not a bad thing at all.
  3. I have a Cal Sci tall windscreen, as well as a tinted shorty. The tall is OK around town and will likely see some use in the winter. The problem with it is that it seems to have too much leverage on the mount points at higher speeds, and likes to move around a bit too much. The shorty is great, and the air just hits the bottom of my helmet. No buffeting, but I would like to find something with a bit more wind protection before winter comes.
  4. Don't forget to get your weight as far forward as possible. That helps A LOT.
  5. This is great discussion. I just picked mine up last weekend, so I don't have strong opinions on the windscreen yet. I'll be putting some decent miles on it this weekend, so we'll see how that goes. It should be a good mix of freeway and twisties. I suspect that I will have a stronger opinion about a lot of things after my trip.
