  1. While its great that YOU enjoy the stock seat, please dont invalidate the finding of others just because YOU dont find any shortcomings. I absolutely did find the seat to be uncomfortable, enough that I spent hundreds of dollars on several different seats before finally getting a custom seat made. I dont enjoy mindlessly spending money, I would rather spend my money on tires and gas. Then by your own admission you did something mindless.
  2. Riding comfort is subjective I realize but I must take issue with your statement that many of us know that the stock seat is poor. I think it is just fine. No doubt you can find a more comfortable one if you're willing to spend the money. I don't believe it is necessary. I have more than 17,000 miles on mine and everything on the bike is stock, everything, and I am completely happy with it. I do 300 mile days from time to time and the comfort is adequate and that includes the stock windshield. For many of you I don't think it is so much a matter of a comfortable seat or an adequate windshield as it is the fact that you MUST change something - anything - to make the bike "yours." Fine, I don't have a problem with that. Just don't go blaming the manufacturer because I think they do a good job most of the time.
  3. You guys are too much:) I'm still laughing at some of the replies. Truth with a big dose of humor - love it.
  4. Not sure if I understood your original post or not but it seemed to me you were considering disconnecting the ABS. I would advise against it. As far as street use is concerned no one and I do mean no one, can brake better in adverse conditions with non ABS brakes as opposed to ABS. I am talking about braking in a turn with debris (sand, gravel) in the road or on a wet road or attempting to brake hard and swerve at the same time as a car pulls out in front of you. Even Marc Marquez cannot out-brake ABS on the street. On the track is a different matter I would think. Even the new 2015 R1 and R1M have ABS as does the new Ninja H2. Why is that? Because it will save your butt no matter your experience and if you think otherwise you are only fooling yourself.
