  1. From the photo I posted at the top I see the balance tubes between the headers, in the photo of the exhaust out of the box, I do not see the balance tubes between the headers, JDM197, would you elaborate on this, are there balance tubes between your headers on the production model, a photo would be nice to see
  2. The one thing I like most about this system is the fact that the header tubes are hydroformed and seamless, it appears that the header assy, 3 into 1 collector, what appears to be a cat convertor and the S bend are all welded as one piece, I certainly hope that their assy/welding jig was true and correct.
  3. Appears Yoshimura has stepped up to make an exhaust strictly for the FJ-09, P/N 2SC-E46D0-V0-00, can be ordered through your local Yamaha dealer.
  4. I have no problem with installing it myself, just lazy and if I could have it installed by the dealer under the recall, well what can I say, it's a 118 in my garage here in Phoenix and the induction heat absorbed by my tools makes the tools to hot to handle
  5. went up to my dealer to have my APE cct (which I purchased online from APE) installed against the recall, at first they said no problem that they would just charge the labor against the recall, now they say no deal that they are not allowed to install customer supplied parts. (it would have been different if I would have purchased the cct from the dealer as opposed to buying it directly from APE) Doesn't surprise me.
  6. Just to clarify, I am the one purchasing the APE CCT on my dime, the dealer is just going to install it against the recall labor time.
  7. Just found this article, called my dealer to confirm recall, ordered APE manual CCT, dealer will install under the recall. I was going to do this anyway, just better now and have the dealer install so I don't have to do the labor.
  8. yes it can be done. a lot of the clutch parts are shared between the fj and xsr. if you want to lessen the cost, perform the conversion on a low mileage clutch. cost, around $500 (parts only), yes a new cover is part of the cost. imho, on an fj, I can see it, on an fz09, for sure this would be a great mod.
