Got the FJ 09 a stable mate. 2016 Versys 1000, sold the Ducati Multistrada. The FJ 09 is so good I could not see keeping such an expensive bike when the FJ was 85% of the Multi. I have added Traxxion suspension and done a reflash and with these two add-ons it really put the FJ over the top. No more Italian maintenance. You may ask why a Versys when is so much like the FJ and a lot of buyers in the market actually compare the two for purchase. Well the FJ is for my almost daily ride with my gray haired hooligan friends. The VK1 is for our longer multi-day rides when I take luggage and hopefully a young Swedish massage specialist as passenger. Also rock solid reliability and two of the best motors out there!!! Love both bikes, also liked the Ducati but is was expensive to maintain. Over the next five years I will pay for half of the VK1 in upkeep cost. Finally raining here in No. California so got my 600 break in miles before the rain, now an oil change some farkling and then the sun will shine and the riding will continue. RC

Anybody hits you with all that reflection they should be dragged behind your bike and forced to look at the ass end. Great job!!

Had Traxxion AK 20's forks and Penske shock installed. Expensive!!!! Hard to tell if it was completely worth it until I get more miles, which will take about a week. Will write a review and post it in the suspension section. So far big difference on the forks. Very little dive on breaking. More to follow.

I am 6'3" 34 inches inseam. The stock screen is just barely adequate. has anyone added a clip-on deflector to the stock screen? how did it work? any other suggestions to improve the overall noise level? what are you taller guys using? loving this bike!!! RC

Very nice!!!! They say the highest form of flattery is copying so I am here to copy!!! Did you make the design that is just above the FJ 09 emblem on the left side? If not, where did you get it? Come to think of it where did you get the tape. Looks good. Hard to say who has the best weather San Diego or Santa Cruz but I KNOW we have better roads for riding. RC
