  1. Yes the turn-ins felt good. Yea, my rear was pretty flat in the middle haha. I was suprised too, but seeing that it was just gentle commuting for the most part, it makes sense.
  2. Made it 10,000 miles on the OEM tires (front was still fine) of just commuting. Took the bike to the track and swapped on some Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa IIs. Vendor only had 180/60 rear, so I have that on. Teeny bit taller ride height. Did a few sessions on track with them.
  3. No engineers needed. Every other sportbike factory specs are much looser, us track folks run it even looser, and there are no issues, only benefits. Full rear suspension movement, etc. You should be at least 1 inch or 25mm. I run 2 on all my track bikes I've ever had. For example, the R6 runs 30-45mm (1.18" -1.77") of slack: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/612270/Yamaha-Yzf-R6.html?page=79 It's like Yamaha forgot the 1" in front when they made the FJ09 manual.
  4. I went with the SH48, size is perfect! It matches the Matte Gray 2015 as well. http://fj-09.org/thread/3300/shad-sh48-top-case-installed
  5. Is FlashTune offering something to you that they haven't made available for normal purchase yet? Because this is the first I've heard of them offering an autoblipper for the FJ09.
  6. 6'3" here. The windscreen that worked best for me is the Madstad 24" screen. It's for 6'4" + and works great. It's fully adjustable with tilt and height adjustment. It comes with support bracket that is better than the stock one. I had tried the Calsci large, but still got buffeting at the top of my helmet. http://www.madstad.com/s.nl/sc.7/category.13491/.f Here are some pics of it installed on my bike. http://fj-09.org/thread/3655/24-madstad
  7. Yes this bike does have a few noises that are common, but not bad. One of them is the loud clutch basket in neutral with the lever released. As soon as you pull it in the noise goes away.
  8. That might help with the assist part, but the part that we are all most interested in is the slipper clutch. Slipper clutches are awesome at the track. Are they needed on the road? I don't think so, but they're just fun to have, like quickshifters on the road.
  9. You can't adjust the existing one, as it's a self-adjusting mechanism with a spring.
  10. I just called my local dealer and they ran my VIN. The recall showed up, and he said he'd order the kit and let me know when it's in. He was unsure at the time if he should order Tensioner 1 or 2. I told him Kit 1 based on what I interpreted.
  11. I think I'll just go in. Dealer's get reimbursed at retail rate (i think) for it anyways, so they shouldn't have a problem performing it. I just looked at my VIN, and I'm one of the ones affected. On a related note, do we know how many FJ09s were sold in the US and internationally?
