  1. Hey, can you tell me which products you selected? I looked on the Matris site and Yamaha isn't on there? Try here: http://www.carpimoto.it/en-GB/Search.aspx?searchText=Yamaha+tracer+ Fork cartridge: http://www.carpimoto.it/en-GB/46142_F12Y131S-Matris-Fork-Cartridge-Kit-for-Yamaha-MT-09-Tracer-.htm
  2. Sounds like a great project (and weekend)... how did you decide on these particular components? I did a lot of research, and heard mix reviews on the andreani fork cartridge (and couldn't justify the cost of the Ohlins / K-tech), so thought i'd take the middle option. I won't be doing track days, or 2 up often, so this should be perfect for my needs. Just hope installation of the forks, isn't too onerous??? These should complements the new metzeler roadtec z8 tyres, which i'll be also having installed over the w/e.
  3. I'll be busy over the weekend, installing my new Matris Shock & Fork Cartridge
  4. How'd the other 1/2 find them? Are they an improvement over the stock pegs?
  5. Depends on your definition of "special tools" I guess. You'll also need a 14mm allen wrench to remove the front axle. Most people don't have one, since most allen sets only go up to 10mm. Some folks have gotten by with taking a bolt with a 14mm head and screwing a 14mm nut all the way up to the head in a jam nut config and using that. It's preferable to have the right tool though. I bought a set of 3 (12mm, 14mm and 17mm) for less than ten bucks from Amazon. Thanks for the heads up ... I'd prefer to use the correct tools, esp as i've got plenty of time to order, and the cost is minimal. I'll check my tool kit and will order a set, should i not have the correct size!
  6. Its due in on the 14th March .. as its through an Italian seller, I'm assuming that is when they receive the item? It will take about 4-5 days for it to arrive (in the UK)? I hope to receive it by the 19th March, for install over that weekend .. otherwise I;ll have to wait until the following weekend. The reseller has advised me that NO SPECIAL TOOLS are required??? ... But as a precaution, I've ordered a fork oil level tool and a spring compressor. I already have the correct sized socket, for the 36mm fork nut. UPDATE: Shipping now due on 17/03/2016 (17th March)
  7. Over the weekend, installed: - DNA Air Filter. Straight forward swap - Cheap 'chinese' aftermarket levers. They were for the MT-09, FZ-09, but I had no issues with installation or interference with indicator housing. Photo's to follow. - Aftermarket numberplate holder. - Balanced the throttle bodies ... Now she runs smooth as silk, even cruising at 90 mph. Before i had terrible vibration through pegs. Now waiting for the Matris suspension to arrive
  8. I tried this, but found them to be rubbish!!! ... promptly returned them, and requested a full refund. I suspect they'd do more harm than good, in the event of an slide.
  9. I manage 51-52mpg around town, and 54-57mpg when on highways.
  10. I also installed the Givi V56! ... great case, and if the 1/2 close your eyes, it almost looks as it was designed for the bike!
  11. Just purchased the Matris Front fork cartridge, and rear shock! http://www.carpimoto.it/en-GB/Suspensions-Wheels/46142_F12Y131S-Matris-Fork-Cartridge-Kit-for-Yamaha-MT-09-Tracer-.htm And rear shock: http://www.carpimoto.it/en-GB/Suspensions-Wheels/42656_MY117-1KD-Matris-Rear-Shock-Absorber-for-Yamaha-MT-09-.htm
  12. By the looks of it, he cut the inside of the guards?
  13. I bought one and whilst I was initially excited, that felling was short lived, when I found the hand guards hit the Screen! No matter what setting I used, the hand guards would hit the screen, and I one instance almost caused me to fall off. I contacted Puig, and was advised used to adjust the handguards in by 10mm, which as we all know isn't an option, as such I returned the screen, but have to live with the scratches on the inside of the handguards caused by the screen.
