  1. Thanks @1moreroad ! I did that as well. And then I ordered it from Accessory International who after the order was placed, promptly emailed to say they won't have it until after March 15th. So now just waiting, and I managed to cancel the order from the shop in Italy.
  2. @1moreroad Where did you get the Givi deflectors from? I just ordered the EH 122 something last week and I guess its an italian website and no response so far lol. If you got it stateside, a link would be very helpful. Thanks!
  3. I bought the new hippo hands model, back country and tried it. It is similar to the blizzard hand guards. Didn't workout for me on the stock handguards. After stretching it over the guards, there is very that is able to cover the grips and the opening was a tad small for me with gloves on. So I am returning it. Saw somebody post pics of the blizzard guards on our bike, so ordered those and now waiting.
  4. I had those spark plugs installed recently. Probably have gone a 1000 miles on them so far. Nothing different that I have noticed. But its been freezing, and the only thing I can(not!) feel or notice are my frosted fingers.
  5. Nice!!! I don't exactly dig how the look meshes with the overall aesthetics of the bike, but man, the saddle looks comfy !
  6. Live in Spotsylvania, VA close to the BMW motorcycle dealer. In fact I got bike shops all around - BMW, KTM, all the japanese and Indian and Harley. I routinely cycle through them out of habit every few months And I commute to DC. Red FJ 09 on I-95 HOV could be me.
  7. I got this screen a few months ago and been meaning to add my review. I will just put it here. Got a few thousand miles under the belt using this one now. So effectively I have forgotten what the old stock one was like. But here are my recollections. I am 5' 10 with inseam of 32 or thereabouts. - Stock I used to use in the middle mounting position and it resulted in high frequency wind buffet and noise to my head and lot of airflow under the helmet. Low position was just all kinds of bad for me. High I do not remember. With the Givi, it does very well for me in the lowest position. Most of the air hits the chest in a very smooth manner. There is no head buffet at all. There is still noise going 80 mph, but maybe not as bad as before, though that is very subjective and probably not accurate. I now ride with earplugs on the FJ on my long rides. Short easy rides, I do not notice anything. The Givi on the highest position becomes a flapping appendage. You can see it flexing and vibrating at high way speeds and lot of noise as well and the air was deflecting towards the upper half of the helmet. Uncomfortable and unnecessary for me. - With wind gusts, side and frontal, the Givi seems to not be reacting to them much at all. Maybe the stock was this way as well, don't remember now. But with 20 - 40 mph gust from all kinds of angles, with reasonable tires, I have been feeling pretty secure on the bike. This is for the low position. I am sure higher will be really different. Passing semis etc have been smooth even though you can feel the buffet passing around you. Overall I am happy and settled in the windscreen department. PS: The screen works with the hand guards and also with mirror extenders and other more straight up mirrors by adjusting the relative plane of the handguards and the block it sits on.
  8. Thanks! Much appreciated. Anymore thoughts on the screen compared to stock?
  9. Thanks @docsimple. But I was asking about the 2122S model that @clint said he got.
  10. @clint. Hey man, been looking for that screen everywhere. No amount of google searches were turning it' up. Could you post a link to where you bought it. Preferably with an English version of the website? Thanks!
  11. The original has too much blind spot, other extender is wide and low, not appropriate for high density traffic conditions. I need something that raise the mirror higher, thus the R&G, I do not encounter any blurry reflections from vibrations. Thanks for the info! Ordering these.
  12. @ kevinkbl Hey man, they look like a good fit. Could you give a bit more feedback on vibration, noise etc? Any problems? And exactly which model did you order from their website? I see two models and they both say the same thing
