  1. I've had the Powerbronze for about 3 weeks now and couldn't be happier. I'm right around 5'11" and the stock windscreen didn't work for me at all, way too loud and too much buffeting. Tried the CalSci shorty and it was an improvement over stock, but still too much noise and buffeting. With the Powerbronze you get air on the freeway, but it's clean air which I actually kind of like. Around town it's great! I'm not sure it would be the choice if you were doing extended touring, but for me and the kind of riding I do it's just about perfect... Probably but I'd bought the Powerbronze first and a) had disposed of the OE screen and b) preferred the dark tint of the Powerbronze screen. In hindsight, just buying the deflector may have improved things enough.
  2. Saw your comment on the Scrambler, I owned one for a year before moving up to the FJ a couple weeks ago. The Scrambler is a really fun little bike, but if you're one of the people that complains about the FJ being built to a price point regarding the suspension, brakes, seat, fueling, whatever; you probably won't enjoy the Scrambler. The Scrambler's fueling is like an on/off switch (and even after getting the ECU flashed I's say it's still not as good the FJ in STD mode), the suspension is shockingly bad, the brakes are wooden and weak, the seat is a torture device (plus there's very little leg room and if you're over around 5'6" or so you're probably going to be cramped), it struggles on the highway and it will be a much more expensive bike to maintain. Not to say it's all bad, the bike is very toss-able, would be better for mild off road than the FJ, it's probably a better fit if you a shorter rider, and finally is a fun bike to ride. YMMV, but for me the FJ is a huge leap in ride quality, although I really need to so something about the windscreen!
