  1. Confucius started the social covenant between parent and offspring that mandated children should be raised from day 1 so when you retire they will take care of you in a style better than you were accustomed to. He said "Sow your seeds early in the season in neat rows so by early fall you may reap the bounty of your cultivation." SWMBO and I are already enjoying this practice even though we say we're not retired. And the kids don't know.
  2. When you buy it, get the noco plug to S.A.E adapter From there you can get generic S.A. E to coax adapters too. The latter are more efficient. By the way, and what they use on heated gear. So you can charge your battery and hook up your heated gear to the same power plug. https://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GENIUS2-Fully-Automatic-Temperature-Compensation/dp/B07W6B987F/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=2L5NDMUH5L7GA&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.xp7LmRSipkouWwmUPgjaWu8R5N7tn3LdgA1Tgj1jlb_o6f6e2dS0H5cjSdIXPNWtiekB1mnp3SkaNpB2Z2LMhEIBh2ATEquDxoE_c0PHXuL8PThBeSWcfY-xNQEy_IBoXLsMMNq6LInT9uwHF2vDTX39yJwYPTtmqY2UpCxZUB8moCpOiRi1KMtA2-pCWdsSVthNPdnZUYv_D-BSXT37aA.4kbQnCvGKaS1Bv81AOoMjGKutg-qsE-2eGaVQNt52Ng&dib_tag=se&keywords=noco+genius+2+2a+smart+battery+charger&qid=1713897335&sprefix=noco+genius+2%2Caps%2C170&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1
  3. https://www.cadillac.com/sedans/ct5-v-blackwing I hear you Good thing a bad heart isn't on my laundry list of things to get fixed
  4. Thanks Brian yeah the bikes ready to go but I may need another rebuild LOL I can only dream of riding on roads that you basically take for granted it's got to be Nirvana As you know the roads I ride are just a faint image of what you can blow the cobwebs out on
  5. Consider using Coaxial plugs like used for heated gear. Coaxial transfers power more efficiently, is easier to use and only requires a smaller round hole. Now I have SAE to but actually made and you can buy SAE to Coaxial cables, and extensions. You could also run a high output dual USB A power jack from inside the top box ur with Coaxial lead to the 12v to 5v converter unit. Lots of options
  6. I just yesterday them at 33 / 38 when I reinstalled my TPMS unit. I never considered going higher than 36 in the front. I have a friend runs what I set them at, not the same bike but comparable in terms of weight, a S1000SX, and he also has yeas of racing experience. So when it warms up, and I get out for a shakedown run, my first attempt to ride this year, I'll pay more attention. Likely though I won't be pushing it. However, my season may end soon after it begins due to my bod. It always could be worse...
  7. You could be right but the gravely noise & vibration when the lever is worked in and out right at the friction zone is of real concern versus just the gronk noise which I understand. What I'm experiencing not so much. I'll have to monitor and see if it improves once warm.
  8. Cheapo 20 watters each and very bright and range enough I get flashed often, More than enough for 65 mph at night, and double what you need for conspicuity My Nilights have run 40,000 miles without a flicker. One bracket snapped & they sent me a new pair free fast! I can't recommend them enough Not Nilight but more like what I have though much brighter and same size. What do you have to loose for $35. I'm getting a set now as my Nilights probably are not as bright given the hundreds of hours of use. I'll report back. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CMGDGXQF/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?pf_rd_p=0d1092dc-81bb-493f-8769-d5c802257e94&pf_rd_r=JJQ3KJ690QC7YE8P7X95&pd_rd_wg=uP9zu&pd_rd_w=A8Wf9&content-id=amzn1.sym.0d1092dc-81bb-493f-8769-d5c802257e94&pd_rd_r=5a0e419b-8c14-4fa5-915a-bb1a207c55e5&s=automotive&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWwy&th=1 These are not them but a little wider but not as tall https://www.amazon.com/Nilight-Auxiliary-Motorbike-Forklift-Warranty/dp/B08W58ZH4W?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1 https://www.amazon.com/Nilight-Motorcycle-Auxiliary-Motorbike-Forklift/dp/B0BS9GFPTZ?ref_=ast_sto_dp
  9. No other comments regarding the vibration and noise.I get with my clutch now. Thanks
  10. A question for the peanut gallery: When verifying I had the gronk, which until now I had refused to accept the reality it could happen to MY fastest red 15, I noted when (albeit not fully warmed up), that when I initiated pulling the clutch lever, that I heard and felt a "rattlingly or gravely feel and sound from the clutch. When I pulled the lever past the friction zone and then fully in, it seemed this death rattle sound and feel diminished significantly. It almost feels like a failed throw-out bearing, or clutch basket hub bearing has an issue (or loose hub nut). Is this possible, or is this part and parcel to the whole feel the gronk love experience??? Inquiring minds need to know...
  11. I guess I'll cut you slack and not say I'm flabbergasted you don't have at least an inexpensive workbench top drill press. Harbor Frieght Tools sold some nice Taiwanese made machine tools in the 80s, they've been Chicom made since. I presume this means you also don't have a lathe, table mill, bandsaw, table belt sander, or stick, MIG and TIG welder. I thought all you down and down down under types out of shear necessity all just made your own. "Fastest Indian" mode and all that.😆
  12. You can but the EBC clutch holder tool here. I have one for the FJ and VTR. You can make your own easily by just welding a suitable diameter steel rod to the edge of a steel drive plate or two sandwiched and tacked circumferentially together so the rod is located between the basket "flutes". It's an age old DIY thing even pro race mechanics used (still) to do...
  13. Cute trick I presume taking out? the left center stand bolt and inserting 2? fender washers to create a reaction stop for the clutch holding tool. Am I correct in exactly what you did? Also good idea replacing the s/a damper rubbers. So after spending $135 on a new battery, how do I minimize SWMBO blowing a heart valve for another $350 for a clutch basket??? BTW, the original 8+ year old OEM battery did test out bad.
  14. What else is new. Just be happy if you're not a Californian, they always have to bend over that much more than the other 49 states...
  15. ÑHow much was the MG Baloney Slicer you're Zenning out in front of, or they refuse offers? I want their Bobber for stylin around... Now you're a 2&CYLINDERS as well!

  17. I've never owned a Ford I had a 69 Camaro rally sport convertible once gave it to my mother she sold it without even asking me and got a LeBaron convertible proverbial little old lady's car it may have 30,000 miles on it I'm sure you'll keep us in the loop and good luck with everything
  18. I need something a little bigger. I can't even fit in a Miata I have a buddy who has an older Honda S one thousand I haven't tried to get in that either 😝
  19. Well it doesn't look like you got too much sun! Nice horsey, sweet horsey. Don't try to get on his back horsey. Love the dumb lugs But. I don't do well at all when I ride them, never's been a good Doggy look tired You looked tired but content. So where did you stay being almost a local? It looked like it maybe had scattered showers. But otherwise the race was dry. How were the rides there and back? When the circus ripped at Indy I was already very familiar with the routes to my birth state. Went to every event. The year Val won I remember trying to beat the storm home. Normally A 3.5 hour slab ride. No decent backroads between Skokie and Indy. It rained 7 inches. Every friggin route flooded. U.S. Minnow 3 hour tour became 12.5 I was so stupid not to stop somewhere and wait it out. But as it was the roads didn't open for as long as seven days!!! However, I cannot in my heart say it's my "home" state, as I know it too well. little known fact the KKK formally developed in the Hoosier state! The hospital I was born in was developed by the Indy brotherhood to keep AM out. I'm sure you found some nice routes between houston and austin. Keep austin weird
  20. As Brian had said about his battery he replaced it just because it was so old and didn't want to be let down out on the road. So I'm going to get a new battery a new Yuasa and see how that flies. As far as WP goes I really wasn't implying that they were white power extremists it was really just a joke As always thanks for your input!
  21. Daryl, Was he Dutch and white... BTW, It was the battery not the relay. After I charged the old man over night it fired right up. Question is will it hold enough of a charge for me to ride it until the new power cell gets here. I can bring along I guess my Lithium Jump pack but...
  22. I believe WP was a Dutch company and originally named White Power (yeh, did PC win out?), and was bought by KTM, whose taken off and run with it.
  23. I took a nap after dinner (my health issues keep me exhausted ( D-Man I'll email you with an update) and was in no shape to limp out to the shop earlier, so I'll try starting it ITM. My very sophisticated test procedure entails charging the battery on my trusty Deltran BT and then attempting to start it. I had briefly charged it and it did fire up with hesitation. I then charged it a little longer and it tried to kick over then failed. I've made no new electrical additions or changes since it started yesterday, so I can't see there being a new parasitic amperage drain. I've charged it as needed since last October (I'm no longer a believer in leaving a battery on a smart charger). It scared me every time I tried to start it (likely 8 total attmpts and I hope it was not consequently damaged) because it makes a relatively loud sound like it's shorting out, frying. No smoke or Bakalite smell (I'm again dating myself and trying not to leave 2 spaces after a period), and it wasn't warm. I checked voltage and the battery had dropped from near 13 to under 12.76. Maybe lower, as I was so shocked by this event, I didn't double check or can even recall if I did after the first time. So hypothetically the proof will be in the pudding but I wish I had a inductive amp meter pick-up. Good excuse to buy the one I've been eyeing for ages...
  24. Great, I am watching the Austin MotoGP and finishing dinner. Then I'll go run the start test and LYK tonight. Thanks again.
