  1. Come on guys.....this bike has sport bike geometry. While the stock suspension is budget it can be adjusted. Adjust your suspension for your weight and if your going to ride aggressively then adjust your body position accordingly. You can't ride this bike like a cruiser or low powered neo retro ie: V7, Bonneville, etc.
  2. I have tried the vibronators on another bike. If you want a noticeable reduction in vibes go with HVMP bar ends and ditch the hooky hand guards!
  3. Yamalube dino - can't justify the synthetic price
  4. My heated grips came in last month. Waiting till after holiday for dealer install. Part of original purchase.
  5. Pulled the risers so I can put some nylon washers between the risers and top triple clamp. Break the metal to metal contact and remove a Z or two from the grips.
  6. Hit 3k today so figured it was time to set the sag from close to 30% of travel with me on it. Dialed out the 10mm extra that was there when delivered to me. Also removed the couple mm of free play that appeared in the throttle.
  7. Sidi- On Roads & Discovery Rains On Roads are on their second sole
  8. While waiting to figure all options for a touring screen I put 1/2" spacers on the bottom 2 windshield mounts. It lowered height a bit over an inch and increased the tilt of the stock screen. Not a perfect solution but an improvement for this 6' 1" with 34" inseam rider.
  9. No difference in vibes after the service. I am a bit more sensitive than most to vibes as I got hurt in the military and the median and ulnar nerve in my left hand had to be reconnected.
  10. Ok guys & gals, got to take the FJ for a spirited ride today and while the new bar ends do not make it V4 smooth it is a very noticeable improvement over stock. I do recommend them and believe the improvement more than offsets the cost. Contact Sue at HVMP and she'll make your hands happier!
  11. HVMP is the company I worked with to get a specific fit for the FJ. It is not listed on their site yet. I am their Beta tester. I have not received them yet. I will post a review after a test ride .
  12. I am currently working with http://www.hvmp.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=Yamaha-Bar-Ends for some heavy weight bar ends that will fit with the hand guards removed. The hand guards are more of a styling exercise than giving much wind protection and if you look how they are mounted to the bar would not help much in a tip over like dirt bike guards do.
