Any pics of it on the bike? 10L is a bit bigger than I was looking at.

My '21 is leaps and bounds better than my 2019 in the suspension department. Really big improvement there. As for wind management, an MRA screen sorts that out. Never had an issue with the engine hunting...

Nice. Cool looking bike for around town. Nope - I totally get it. The Tracer is more like a dirt bike with those wide bars. I don't know about you, but my knee-dragging days are past me now. 🙂

I really like my 2021 GT. Not sure it would be worth trading in for the "+". Adaptive cruise is neat on a car, but not sure I need it on my bike. The new TFT screen would be nice, but to be honest I don't mind the "wonky" dash on my GT. But I like new things. 🙂

I was asking Yamaha Canada about whether or not the GT + will be coming to Canada as a 2024 model and was told to watch their page on July 26th for an announcement that we will be interested in! That is all. 🙂

MRA Sport or Touring? I have both - but have always ran the Sport as it allows clean air to flow. I am trying the Touring with Vario lip out shortly and may take on my trip to WV next month if it works as well.

@vic @kiseliok Would either of you be willing to take a picture of where the pannier/side bag meets the stay (extension of the rear foot peg bracket). After re-installing the pannier rack holders, I wanted to make sure that they are lined up properly. I used the same technique as above (using a screwdriver that fit through the black loop and the holder. At rest, my side case rests against the outer portion of the stay and there is a gap on the inside (bike side)...which I think is normal, but I can't recall. I know they are supposed to "float" and move around, but wasn't sure of the position "at rest". I'm attaching a pic of mine on the right hand side (when sitting on bike - so non-chain drive side) Thanks in advance for your help! Rob

Awesome write-up @piotrek! The one thing that I took away from this was your comment around visiting your old neighbours, and how only 3 short years after retiring, he is facing a life threatening disease. I think this is a great reminder to us all to not put off until tomorrow what we really want to do in this life (I know I am terrible for this) as you just never know. Your trip report is an inspiration for others to do just exactly this! Thank you for sharing.

Going to assume that this only works with Give top cases? I like the top case you have there - the profile is reasonable and suits the lines of the bike.

Pardon me resurrecting an old thread, but I just received my rack and 46L Yamaha top case. That's quite the shmozzle for a simple rack install. Ugh.

In Canada, there was a 2018 Tracer 900. The first GT model came out in 2019.

I searched for the brand above but couldn't find anything. Are you able to share the link?

Hey @Lonerider How long did you have your N1K for? I had a 2013 and a 2017 before I picked up my 2019 Tracer 900 GT. I now ride a 2021 Tracer 9 GT (the 2019 was written off). I love these bikes. Far more fun and flexible than the Kawi's imo. And I was a dyed-in-the-wool Kawi guy (had several ZX-14, ZX-12 and ZX-9R). Were you a member of any of the N1K forums? Do you have the torque spec for the engine bolt? I can get you that if you need and a copy of the 900GT service manual if you want.

These can be ordered in from Europe - I actually ordered a set for my '21 Icon Performance. I thought they were silver, but ended up being the white ones - which is wild as the new bikes weren't announced at the time. I was going to get them wrapped in silver.

A belly pan or gravel guard/bash plate covers up/distracts from the exhaust. I personally think the stock exhaust on the Tracer 9GT sounds great while riding. My uneducated guess is that the sound bounces off the ground and back up at the rider which is cool.

I do like the white bike with gold wheels. I'm meh on the Power Grey and the new Icon Performance has a weird fade effect from black to silver on the tank, silver side panels and front fender. I prefer the black side panels, fender and solid silver tank...but I am biased! 😉

I keep hearing that the FJR is being discontinued, and yet there is a 2023 model on Yamaha Canada's website. I'd be all for a larger displacement Tracer if they managed to keep it a triple...like the Sprint ST/GT. I'm so addicted to that triple engine and it's characteristics.

Yamaha Canada has this annoying habit of only posting up a few new models at a time. EG. under 2023 Touring they only show the FJR. It will show up eventually.

Those are the cats arse for sure. But super spendy - unless you are doing a lot of tire changes then it might make the cost worth it. Might be more reasonable in the UK.
