Speaking of said black spots, and apologies for shifting subjects; I have found that acetone removes them moderately well, but still leaves some trace of the fouling. Anyone know what the best solvent to remove those spots might be?

Hmm, I wonder if an ECU flash would have any effect? By chance, has anyone experiencing this issue had their ECU flashed?

Howdy! Native Houstonian here, living on the northwest side. I prefer to ride in the hill country when I have the slightest whiff of spare time, I have family around Fayetteville (that's Texas, not Arkansas, y'all). I may be relocating to Oklahoma pretty soon, if the FAA accepts my application for an air traffic control trainee position. I spent a few years earning my Aviation Management degree through the University of Oklahoma a couple years back, and I've decided that it's high time to put that education to use. I loved the time I spent in Norman, watching those massive storm systems roll in was a sight to behold! In Houston, we have to worry about mosquitoes more than tornadoes (of course, we have the occasional hurricane thrown in to break up the monotony).
