  1. The "gentleman" I purchased my bike from removed the black connector for the grip heaters. Simply snipped off with black tape over the extremely short piece of wire left protruding from the wiring harness. I cursed a little, then I fixed it... ran out of time so the grips aren't installed yet. I wish I could say this was the only problem I've uncovered since purchasing my bike from this "gentlemen" but at this point I think I've got everything sorted out. Thanks,
  2. Ended up going a different direction all together. http://fj-09.org/thread/4637/christmas-cogent-dynamics I had thier stuff front and back on my DR650. Bolted right on, worked great. Didn't keep the bike long enough to get the suspension refreshed. I really wanted the remote preload adjuster on my FJ and the Ohlins seemed like the best deal. The Razor stuff looks.... um...... interesting.
  3. Thank you for pointing that out. Did you order your Ohlins yet?
  4. I installed the 30 mm ohlins carts. Super nice ride quality.
  5. I filed my complaint. It didn't take too long and now I feel like a good person. Oil pan on my 2015 FJ09 has a design flaw. The drain bolt is at the bottom and will be the first thing to contact the ground on a road irregularity. Today I read a disturbing account of a rider who rode over a bump in the road, broke the oil drain bolt out of the pan, and covered his bike, tires, and passenger with oil. AMAZINGLY he brought the bike to rest without falling over. Yamaha seems to acknowledge the design flaw since only the first year of production have this type of pan, and later units have an updated oil pan with the drain bolt moved to the side. I would like Yamaha to recall the early production bikes with this pan and install the new pan at no cost. I would be happy to pay for fresh oil during the pan install. Thank you,

  7. My bike has these. I've noticed they bump the windscreen (aftermarket) when in the up position. I will likely remove them. FYI
