  1. Better late than never, I did some research and it is stainless.
  2. Thanks for the inputs, I have sent a mail to Akrapovic to ask for their advice a well.
  3. Yesterday I was out riding and a plastic bag blew in front of me and attached to the bike, by the time I got stopped the black plastic was melted onto one of the headers.Any ideas on how to get it off?Akro carbon full system.
  4. I have been a loyal Dainese wearer since 1979 and I am in the market for some new gear. I'd like opinions on the cold/rain proof capabilities of the following if anyone has them: Laguna Seca 3 D-Dry jacket Racing 3 D-dry jacket Tempest 2 D-dry pants
  5. I had the engine check light come on recently after running my bike on a dyno and the dealer cleared it for me, but if I have run the rear wheel at low speed on a stand I haven't had the light come on.
  6. I took the bike to the dealer today and they cleared the error in under ten minutes at no charge.
  7. 68.4kW (93HP) at 11,388 rpm 67Nm at 8,963 rpm Elevation ASL around 1,800m (5,900ft) Stock except for Akrapovic carbon full system
  8. By the way when I lube the chain I have it on the paddock stand in 1st but the rear is barely turning so maybe there is a threshold because I haven't had this issue before.
  9. That would make sense after a dyno run of course, I was a bit surprised when they told be the bike is governed, all the others they ran on the dyno were bouncing off the rev limiter but not mine. It was a little sobering to be on the dyno straight after a Ninja that ran 309km/h top speed and this is at 1800 metres above sea level!
  10. This morning I was at a biker event and just for fun I put my 2017 Tracer on the dyno. About half an hour after the run when I started the bike to go home the check engine light is on. I had to ride home about 50km from the event, no change in performance, no funny noises or weird throttle responses. Any ideas?
  11. Reminds me of something a friend at a Yamaha and Honda dealer used to say back in the 80s: NSBOTJ AKA no stock back order to Japan
  12. How much did the specialised tool cost? Add $120 to whatever it was and buy a new fuel line, better than watching a fire at the side of the road.
  13. They're not upside down for me but I live in the southern hemisphere
  14. My BMW 320d is within 3km/h of my Garmin up to 180km/h so it's deadly accurate.
  15. Those are exactly the same instructions and parts that I have. I will see what was missing when I fetch the bike tomorrow.

    Let's talk GLOVES!

    Dainese. 'nuff said.
  17. So, the dealer collected the bike this morning and within an hour called me to tell me the bars are fitted. They said there was a spacer buried in the packaging that I had missed although I had everything that is in the instructions neatly laid out on the bench and nothing was missing. The fitting instructions really are garbage, the spacer isn't on any of the pictures either. I also got a mouthful about all the chain wax and gunk buildup at the front sprocket 😳
  18. They look perfect apart from the fact that they don't fit. The dealer where I bought them is fetching my bike and the bars tomorrow, they said they can claim from Givi but they need to say that they were fitted by a qualified tech so they will probably put the bike in the workshop and say "well that's not right".
  19. This is how far out it is if the front 2 mounts are finger tight
  20. My wife and I aren't particularly svelte (as this seems to be the word of choice in this thread) but we ride 2 up 95+ % of the time and the Tracer is great. We rode 2 up for 13 years on a 600 Fazer without any problems too. GS? I've ridden one and don't get the hype, long done with twins in any form.
  21. I bought TN2122 bars this morning for my 17 Tracer, the right one went on no bother but the left front hole doesn't line up with the hole in the frame if the rear (long) bolt is installed and the centre one is hooked over the bolt. Is this badly made or am I doing something wrong?
  22. At the risk of being branded a dick.... it's venomous, not poisonous. Poisonous kills you when you ingest it. Venomous kills you when it bites or stings you.
  23. I ride with high beam on all the time during the day and if cagers flash at least I know they saw me.
  24. I took mine off shortly after getting it because after riding a Fazer the bars were too wide to lane split comfortably, plus they look shit. I fitted naked MT-09 bar end weights and all is good! And, I never ride without gloves.
