  1. Same setup as mine. All the way up and cocked forward works best for me. Seems to push the air up a little higher.
  2. They still had about 1.5-2 inches of clearance. I'll try it under a hard front brake next. Side to side is good.
  3. OK here is the next iteration. Thinking about ditching the bar altogether and mounting each light to each fork clamp. Don't nobody worry about where they are aimed at since I haven't gotten that far yet. Here's the final. Mounted them directly to the fork clamps. No bar is certainly better. Have to wire them up and see how they work. I know they put out a good amount of light.

  5. So Patonme is correct. That’s not going to work. Look at the forks and realize the front fender tire will travel as high as the exposed silver fork piston has room to travel. As a guy with a cracked front fender from not taking that clearance into account, your setup is definitely not going to work. Aha missed that obvious one. I'll try with the bar up high bring the lights in and hang them off the bottom of the bar next. Just playing around with a lightbar a guy had on a Vstrom.
  6. What do you think of this aux light setup? I could bring them in narrower and/or up or down a little.
  7. This is the new Shad pinlock tank bag. Just got it the other day. It's 10L not too big, not too small. This is a chinese rear cover I thought looked cool. Not sure how well it works yet. Found it on Aliexpress. Ktech rear shock. Ordered it about 1 inch shorter to drop the bike down a bit. Great improvement.
  8. I'll take function over something that just looks "cool" anyday course I'm 64 yo and definitely beyond the "cool" days anyway lol. No way you're going to get the air over your head with anything shorter or being able to change the angle more upright. Hope you don't spend too much $$ in your quest.
  9. I agree totally. Mine works so well. I found the best position for me is all the way up and forward. That will deflect the airstream up and over your helmet. I'm 5'8" and bought the 20" shield and can see over the top no problem. Clean air and no buffetting at 80 mph go buy it.
  10. Looks like it may be a bit taller? Looks really nice.
  11. Finally settled on this smaller top box with the Shad E48 soft bags. The Corbin seat was a new addition too.
  12. I very rarely respond to posts like this that are so clearly highly subjective - but I gotta say that personally I greatly dislike the blue finished forks. The colour appears to be very unbike-like to me! But... FWIW and as always YMMV... Me thinks they would look stunning on my 17 model blue one. I'd even take the blue wheels to go with it.
  13. Edited for accuracy Now if mine came with the pretty blue finish that comes on the Euro bikes I wouldn't have had to cover them up. 8-)
  14. Covered my gaudy gold fork tubes with CF. It matches the factory CF nicely.
  15. So why is it you insist on not running a baffle? I think you would like mine if you heard it in person. Like I said before the video does not do the quality of the sound justice.
  16. If I didn't have to remove the whole can I would. Suffice to say it would not be tolerable IMHO.
  17. Afraid you've got the understanding a bit off on the decibel effect. For every increase of 10dB on the scale is equivalent to a 10-fold increase in sound intensity (which broadly corresponds with a doubling in loudness). Sound intensity is not the same as what is being perceived by the human ear. This system is by no means obnoxious even inside the garage. Now if my ear was down by where that meter was positioned then yes but if the bike was outside I don't see me getting any complaints from anyone. I think the 350mm can would stick out about 2 inches further which I wouldn't care for.
  18. OK guys got the exhaust in today and got it installed. The build quality is very nice. The instructions were pretty good. You need to fit the header pipes to the collector before installing on your bike. The video does not do enough justice as to the quality of the sound. It is much deeper sounding live. It's really not that much louder as you can see by the readings.
  19. I just ordered a 300mm low today. I'll post a before and after video to try and show the db difference. $476 delivered
  20. Yeah I found that page but they have so many combos. Is yours a slip on? If you could link the particular system you got that would be great.
  21. I really like that setup. I have the same bags coming. Can you post a link to where you ordered?
