How To: Install Barkbuster Storm Handguards
bigorangecntry07 replied to shigeta's topic in FJ-09 Tech Tips/How to's
Thanks for the input. I was able to make them fit by installing the inner bracket first with the clutch and brake levers loose and slip the bar end over the weight, but it was definitely snug. -
How To: Install Barkbuster Storm Handguards

Also have the same questions... Just getting around to installing on my 2017 and the bar weight will not work with the location of the break lever and res. -
I have these ready to put on the bike for that reason, Two Point Mount - Barkbusters Moto I will likely leave the plastic off in the summer for more air on the hands, but should make a noticeable difference in the winter and rain.

Good to know!

The plastic high / low adjuster did not work with my Corbin seat, I had to completely remove it from the bike to get the seat to fit properly. May want to try removing it altogether as well, you might have an easier time getting it on there

Does this look right to you?

Maybe consider having someone make you a new leg out of steel so it won't flex. -
Jesus, way to make it complicated hahaha

Can you tell me how you've got it wired? I have this as well and tapped into the back of the light controller and I can't get it to function properly. The lights are working right now but dim when I hit the high beams.

Yeah man, I'm close to downtown! My buddy in West Nash bought one and my dad as well!
-
It's a straight cut gear I believe. There's nothing you can do for it.
-
I bought a pair to upgrade my front signals, however, am I the only one that has issues with them sitting flush?? The housing of the light is too large to sit down in the recess of the panel and if it were to sit flush on top of the panel the mounting stud wouldn't be long enough to secure it. So to those that have installed them, did you add some sort of plastic spacer or adapter plate behind them? That's what I get for thinking this would be an quick and easy install.

How is such a great bike so unpopular!?
bigorangecntry07 replied to Zach26's topic in FJ-09 Tracer 900 General Discussions
There's only a few in the nashville area and I rarely see one. With that said, I've converted a few people.... My dad recently bought a red 2016 I think it was and one of my regular riding buddies is looking at picking up a gray one in the coming weeks! Otherwise I've only ever seen FJs around the dragon in east tennessee or north georgia -
I did this one as well, best $20-30 upgrade you can make!

Welcome. I regularly ride with a buddy from Smyna out that way! Mostly over into Woodbury

That's the route I always take! 30 in and out of Spencer and Pikeville are a BLAST!
-
Excellent! Well if y'all are back this way on Sunday and want to ride give me a shout!

When are you in the boro and when are y'all headed east? What's wtt?? Nice taste in trucks too, I've got a 16 ecoboost haha!

I haven't had the time since making this post originally to check on the power sources yet, but in my instance the trigger wire is sent to the dimming module before any type of relay so it may have less impact in my set up. I don't really know but I hope to tackle this soon and report back! I do have the wiring diagram though so I'll see if I can find or get to the indicator light wiring.

Just don't get caught speeding, its a National park and park rangers love to make the government money out there. I've never had a problem there but others I know have. Sucks for them hahaha
