  1. Hi Having traded my Tracer 900 GT 2018 for the Tracer 9 2022 I have a few items from the 900 that I need to find a home for. Low seat MRA screen Inner bags for the Yamaha pannier All in good condition. I live in Cambridge, so no reasonable offer refused if someone can collect! Vic
  2. Has anyone fitted the Yamaha light stay to their Tracer 9 and if so any pictures, videos or tips. The instructions seem very unclear!
  3. I also prefer the SWMotech/Yamaha bag. It follows the lines of the tank better and the tank ring is much more discrete than the givi which imho looks like an ashtray stuck on top of the tank!
  4. ABBA Skylift back in stock in the UK now but no offers on their website. I think I’ll wait to order and see if there are any offers in May with the Kings Coronation holiday.
  5. I don’t see that offer on their website??
  6. Thank you very much for this comprehensive and helpful review. Very timely as I’ve been deciding whether to buy one. I live in the UK and it’s a real bargain here at at £490 including the tracer adapters and delivery.
  7. Had a very wet ride this week and next day intercom was working ok, but my buddy suddenly heard lots of static after which my microphone died. Tested it at home and it really is dead! Tried the SC1A in another helmet and it’s fine. Does anyone know if the microphone can be replaced? Can’t find anything on the Schuberth site. Vic
  8. I posted elsewhere on this. It really is ridiculously complicated for such a small job. Just 3 bolts to attach it, but to get to it you have to remove many plastic panels and the pannier hangers. The instructions are useless and putting it all back together is a real pain remembering which plastic pop rivets go where as they’re not all the same.
  9. Having fitted the top box on my Tracer 9 GT I ordered a new lock to rekey it to my ignition key. Where other Yamaha instruction sheets have been incomprensible the instructions for the lock were really straightforward, and much easier than others may have thought from various videos. The lock comes with a printed key template, which describes how to measure the key with callipers, and then which tumblers to insert in each of 5 sockets. Really easy and no need for trial and error!
  10. Yes indeed. If only it was as easy. I think the T9 seems to have made it more complex than it need be just to get at the 3 bolt holes!
  11. My panniers were recently replaced after a car knocked my new Tracer 9 over. (His insurance covered it) i also recently bought and added a Yamaha 39L top box to my bike. The top box has a different lock and key. However I discovered today that I can unlock and open panniers with the Top Box key, but not vice versa. I’m wondering if that’s normal, or when the locks were transferred to the new panniers some tumblers were lost! Seems anyone with a Yamaha key might be able to open the panniers Vic
  12. Hi I received the top box and plate yesterday and thought I'd install it this morning. Only three bolts to fix the rack to the bike, so probably a 5 minute job. How wrong was I! The minimalistic instruction sheet that indicates that you have to remove a few bits didn't help at all, but it turned out that I had to remove many pieces of fairing with loads of push rivets to get the bolts to go in and be able to fasten them. Then in putting back all the bits I'd removed, it was a challenge to remember which plastic fairing pins went were and and manoeuvring everything in to place. Finally got it done after about 2 hours, but what a PITA. Lost a few fairing pins in the process, and had to replace a couple, but still ended up with a few bits left over. I'm happy with the result but can't believe Yamaha couln't make it simpler! Vic
  13. Hi Is it possible to buy just the coloured plastic panel for 2021 T9 pannier? If so does anyone have a link preferably for a UK based supplier. Vic
  14. SORTED Thank you so much for all the helpful comments. Lust Racing had called the dealer and explained the issue to them. I took the bike in today, and they shortened the sensor tie rod by approx 10mm so the angle was similar to the original suspension links. As Lust indicated, they had to cut a small section off the end of he tie rods as they bottomed out on the swing arm. They ran sensor calibration and result was SUCCESS. Bike feels smoother now so I’m happy. Lust will update their installation instructions. Vic
  15. Gradually getting to the solution! I had put in a call to Lust Racing who called me back today. They said that they had assumed the electronic suspension sensor was similar to another bike. (Didn’t say which) They have now looked specifically at the 9GT and concluded that the sensor link needs to be shortened beyond what is normally possible and have ordered a custom link from Yamaha in Japan. They said they would contact my dealer to explain the solution to them. I’ll call the dealer again tomorrow and will hopefully finally get this resolved.
  16. Yamaha got back to me today. They spoke with the dealer who told them the Lust Lowering kit lowers the bike 30mm. Yamaha thought this was on the limit for the suspension sensor. The dealer has asked me to bring it back in so they can check it again, but they’re suggesting the only option may be to replace the Lust kit with the Yamaha kit that only lowers the bike 18mm. They insisted that adjusting the length of the link won’t help. I spoke with Lust who said they’ve sold many kits for this bike, and no one has reported any issues and that it shouldn’t be necessary to adjust the link. I’m taking it in again on Friday. All very frustrating.
  17. Thank you for all these helpful posts. I’m waiting to hear back from Yamaha and will also call Lust after the Easter break. Really not happy with the dealer at the moment.
  18. Well I went to the dealer and he wasn't very helpful. 3 of them stood around playing with it and discussing and the the sales manager, not the service manager, came out to speak with me. Said that the Calibration option on the settings, and I quote "wasn't for me". It's only there for dealers to use if they change the suspension (e.g. new shock) and then need to recalibrate the electronic suspension. He asserted that since there had been no changes to the suspension the "Failed" simply meant there was nothing to calibrate. I'm not buying it and will try and contact Yamaha directly.
  19. Not sure, but the bikes still under warranty so I’ll be calling the dealer next week when they’re open. Hopefully they can sort it out.
  20. Thank you again. Not exactly sure what I'm looking for but here's a top view of the rod that does appear to be attached to the top of the swingarm.
  21. Here's a photo. Hard to get in there but hopefully this can throw some light on the issue.
  22. Ledruide… I’ll take a photo and post later today. Thank you for your help.
