  1. Got it out of storage after its long winter slumber. After a couple of hours of preseason maintenance it's time to ride!
  2. Today was a sad day. Insurance is done and it is snowing North of here. So.........it was in with the fuel stabalizer, on with the battery tender, clean lube and polish everything, on with the motorcycle cover and into storage for several months. The long cold Canadian winter is here! Oh well, now it's time to prowl the internet for farkles!!! I will be able to spend some quality time with the FJ in the garage!
  3. Washed it, then rode the crap out of it for several hours!!!!!
  4. Sighhhh.........I had to lock it away for two weeks while I am away on a business trip!!
  5. My next project is to take off the damn curb feelers that like to catch pants, oh and I rode it!!!!!
  6. Rode it!! Took the FJ out for a ride to Eureka MT to pick up a new windshield for the wife's CB500F. It was around a 4 hour round trip. Here's a quick photo of the FJ with a pretty spectacular back ground near my home in Cranbrook BC. Lucky to have this kind of scenery in my back yard.
  7. I think the blurring is a small price to pay for not having to remove my hands from the bars, just to see what is behind me! After putting on the extenders, I may not be able to tell you what kind of car is behind me, but I can tell a car is behind me and how far away it is! Even if it is a bit blurry. Good enough for me.
  8. Put on the soft side bags that FINALLY came in today. Fairly easy install, took about 20 minutes, including the funky quick release bars that keep them out of the rear tire. The bags sit securely and the included rain covers are a nice touch. Instructions were fairly complete and easy to follow. The quality of the bags seems to be good and they look nice on the bike. Time will tell how they last. They are quite a bit smaller than I expected though!!!! ( I had only seen them in photos until I got them, I thought they would be bigger! Good thing they were free!!!) May end up getting the hard bags yet. Then of course took my bike for the mandatory test ride!!!
  9. Put on the KOUBALINK Mirror Extenders. What a huge difference.
  10. HI all. So I just got my Koubalink Mirror Extenders. I cannot say enough good things about them and the company!! I live in Canada, and I ordered them direct from the manufacturer. (scroll up the page to Bubba's post for the link) They were super easy to deal with, they were helpful and answered my questions via e-mail right away. I simply sent them $40 USD via PayPal and they shipped them out in a padded shipping envelope. No trouble at all and I got them in just over a week!!! Most importantly, now I am not looking at my elbows! I would strongly recommend them to every FJ owner. I did not notice any increased turbulence. It seemed about the same. (I am 6'4", stock screen, lowest position)
  11. Mine is red. Is it faster..........well when I get the chance to ride with someone riding a (obviously slower) grey One I will verify that it is indeed faster! ?
