  1. Triumph have made a triple. Trident 660. 2021 Triumph Trident 660 | First Look Review | Rider Magazine The 2021 Triumph Trident 660 has arrived! The all-new triple-cylinder...
  2. every body is different. with our country roads being narrow and to many other vehicles, push bikers not to mention caravans. this 700 is ideal. but the Europeans have been crying to Yamaha to make a sport version and they have. to be truthful its not all about power its the usability. 60 mph bend is still 60 mph whether your on a gixer or a twin. on smaller bikes you carry more speed into the corner.on tight twisties litre bikes have no advantage. if every body like the same thing it would be a boring world. me personally I like the old style sit up and beg posture whether fully naked or semi.
  3. looks nice not that I'll be getting one. 4. would be interested if Yamaha did bring the xsr300 to the UK. looking at the shape of the tank it could be converted to a LC look a like. then again there's two version on this model. the other look similar to the xsr700. with nearly 40 bhp and 30 torque. plenty fast enough well for me anyway.
  5. 5'11 . 31" inside leg. not so much how tall you are its the inside leg that's matters.I have a friend who is 6ft tall but 30" inside leg and he rides the MT07. but not seen him for over a year with all this lock down we have or had. Honda did the same with the NC750 only sell the X model when most want the 'S' model. doesn't make sense does it. I'm sure the tracer 700 would sell well after all the MT07 are good sellers.

  7. I knew it wouldn't belong before some numpty make a negative comment. nice blue but the 700 looks more ridiculous ,really well over half a million sold world wide so yes its ridiculous .
  8. I've had one before the tracer 900 so I have a good idea what they're like.lol
  9. I'm surprise theres no tracer 700 in the USA ,they are very popular in Europe.MT07 is in the US. nice looking bike.
  10. I'll stay on here if thats ok with you folks. I came off last year amongst other things. I fancy getting a XSR700 and get it similar to the LC look.wrong shape tank I know. wont be for a couple years yet.
  11. sold my Tracer 900 last year the reason as for follows sorry if this upset some but this is just my opinion. the engine is a peach but for annoying whine at around 58-67 mph. even wearing ear plugs doesn't help. must admit getting to old now for fast riding and if I fall I wont mend to easily.even put a bigger front sprocket to see if it'll move it up the rev range made no different. behind the dash it difficult to keep clean in other words its just a mess. Yamaha could of tidied it up like on the tracer 700. the seat is like a plank! could only last 30 miles before numb bum creeps in. didn't like the clock(dash) it would either work or it didn't such a faff on getting things set like zero miles before setting off. never did like the dummy air scoop. it just top heavy while trying to maneuver on our country roads. can't lower because the sump is low to start with. hard her about a year and a half and only lost £700 so not to bad. with that I bought another Tracer 700 and found that much better for my liking and riding two up is fine. this is what she looks like before I sold her and my new bike matt blue.
  12. I had one traded it in for the 900. they're good bikes but fancy something different.
  13. after much thought and careful deliberation I've decided to sell my tracer at the end of August. I've done just over 5,000 miles since purchase.and finding she's getting a little to heavy for me. mainly top end. a couple of times I nearly dropped her just pushing her out of the garage. road camber doesn't help either while trying to maneuver to turn round to face the other way etc.got to admit she's a tall bike. I'm now considering in getting an MT09 or the NC750s dct. yes I know big difference. firstly I like the look of the bug eyed model but not sure if its suitable for carrying a pillion or touring.there are things I could do to improve the ride for my wife. seat is like a plank,so will need reupholstering. pillion hangers will need to change for the tracer and lastly chocks. dont know if this forum covers the MT09
  14. I had a even bigger topbox on that and it held up.
  15. this what I have on my bike .its a Chinese copy of motec rack at half the price. Rear Carrier Luggage Rack For YAMAHA FJ-09 MT-09 Tracer 2015-2017 2016 YAMAHA FJ-09 Tracer 2015-2017.
  16. mine does the same in 6th. going to put a bigger front sprocket to get the rev;s down and hopefully the whine will be further up the revs range. I usually ride at 60mph. wife on the back.most of the country roads that we ride on a narrow not to mention horses/push bikes etc around the next bend.
  17. refund and get the standard ones redone here with either memory foam or bultex foam.
  18. the vender have accepted my return.just waiting now for the return ticket from them. the metal base plate...nothing is attached and the seat base bracket is hard up against it. what I would say is that the side walls could be made lower to cover the gap. everything that needed to rest on the bike is rested so nothing can be altered. mine is a 2017 model. on their ad it states 2015- 2019. well the 2018/19 are different to the earlier models.
  19. tried again but no joy in fitting.took more pictures etc for the vender inc measurements. the bagster bracket sit flushed with the frame no way can it go further down. the rubber stoppers etc are slightly bigger than standard. 4th picture shows just under 1,1/4" on the bagster which is not shown is just over 1.1/2".
  20. got a reply back they now want a picture of the underneath.box is all sealed up.lol.no problem I'll have another go tomorrow morning and see if I can get it to seat properly.also will compare it to the standard seat. the standard seat I can get it no problem .no fiddling on to get it on.I let you all know on the outcome later tomorrow. most of you guys will probably getting up for work by then.I bought the ready seat. did any of you guys bought one? and how did you find it compared to the standard seat? to me the ready seat looked thinner than the standard one.
  21. they've replied asking what model and year. so we'll see what they have to say. on the facebook forum someone else had the same problem which I thought it was another make.
  22. my seat finally arrived and what a disappointment. took some fitting but the rear will not sit down.there's a gap which I can almost get me fingers in,everything clicked in so theres nothing more that I can do.and what is more I cannot see this being any more comfortable than standard.it is thinner than the one on the bike.if I wanted a patterned cover it would've been cheaper to get one made.304 uk pounds for what? base? I already have that, cover? thinner layer? don't waste your money folks.never again will I buy off the net.
  23. still waiting for mine, should've got them last thursday at the latest. sent them an email its on its way so they say. so another waiting game.
