YES, Will work just fine without the "reinforcement" bracket assemble. I had the city bags installed for a lot of miles and then sold them and am now using FJR bags for their increased capacity (can hold a Schuberth C4 XL helmet)! 😎

Great ride report and thanks for sharing! I have done some of those roads over the years and snowmobiled MANY times out of Chapleau (staying most times at the 3 Mills)!😎 Thinking I might have to duplicate your trip one day soon.....

Morning! I sat on one at a dealer in Dalton, Georgia. It would make an awesome "1 up" Sport Tourer with a riding position a LOT like the FJR. Fit and finish looked superb and the dash was easy to read and bright. The blue color is nice, just not Yamaha galazy blue nice. Dealer had two and one was already sold. Full list price, but at least they had one for sale! 👍

Before my Sister's wedding reception run in 1972! Man was I YOUNG!! My first "big bore" Honda........wish I still had it.

I had one of the early CB750's. Bought used in 70 or 71 and drove ALL over with it. Had an oil leak (weeping) and when I took it to the local Honda dealer they told me the engine case would need to be replaced as it was sand cast and it couldn't be repaired. Ending up selling it shortly afterwards and bought a '73 CB750. 😪 Hind sight is always 20/20. All I have left of the '69 is the owners manual. I have a pic somewhere of me on it for my sisters wedding. I'll try to hunt it down!

LOTS of gators in the State park. I travel down to the Houston area for 3 weeks twice a year (Spring & Fall) and on Sunday mornings we do the park walk, about 5 miles. Usually see between 25 and 50 gators of various sizes. 😎 And usually we get passed (in my friends Jeep) by a few sport bike riders on Sunday mornings. A regular "mini dragon" by the power plant......👍
