  1. 11 days with the new bike. Im so glad I traded up, what a better riding experience, all kinds of nice! Seat is way more cushy. Factory brakes are spongy though I had hh pads on the old fj and they had a much needed strong initial bite. Probably the best part is that quickshifter, should be standard on all bikes!
  2. It's 2016. Already traded her in for a tracer 900gt. Bike had almost 40k on it. Out of warranty. It had the recall done on it. I ride 65 miles a day to work and back, I'd rather have peace of mind, and cruise control. Lol. I appreciate everyone who's tried to help. Hopefully the new bike is as reliable as all my other Yammys have been. Ill keep posting hopefully with fun pictures and stories!?
  3. Sorry for delay I was on the freeway doing 90. Heard a re as really loud bearing failure in the top left side of the head. Dealer says it's from the cam chain tensioner melting. I was able to get to the shoulder as soon as I pulled in the clutch it seized. I actually coasted like a a quarter mile to the next gas station. Dealer wants 1400 labor + parts... I'm thinking it's time to upgrade to the tracer 900gt:)
  4. My f@#&ing engine just seized. Well so much for yamaha reliability...
  5. Ok rode the bike for the first time since calibrating tps.. sounds and feels way better, unfortunately still holding high rpm, if I downshift at 8500 rpms it will stay there until I go into neutral. Dealer had no clue what it could be.
  6. Time!... ok the tps was not in spec. We'll see if it makes a difference. Thanks!
  7. Im going to try it out thank you so much, I'll let you know if it works.
  8. I've gone through all obvious stuff. Even took off the tps it rotates smoothly shows even change in resistance. Throttle cables and tube assembly are fine. When the rpm "stays up" I can click onto neutral and the rpm instantly drops to normal
  9. Sorry, I didn't find anything loose or broken or leaking etc.
  10. Just happened again this time at 7000 rpm probably gonna kill me.... please help!
  11. Quick update, took air filter box off, cleaned throttle bodies, working great so far.
  12. I have recently had same issues seemed to only happen after wheeling or smashing through the first couple gears but it just happened again after a smooth take off starting to worry me.
