When you changed the tyres were the wheels balanced? And have you checked that the rear wheel is straight in the swingarm? As said already I would also check the tyre direction. The OP seems to give the impression that prior to the tyre change they didn't have any issues at this speed so if that is the case the issue shouldn't be related to the hand guards or weight distribution

Givi have a separate listing for the GT. It seems to be in production now (until a few weeks ago it was still in manufacturing. I personally believe the fittings are identical but most vendors are playing it safe and not releasing models for the GT until they have tested the fitting to ensure it is correct (which is the right way to do things). So far, from what I have seen on the manufacturer websites, based on model numbers the following seem to be interchangable: [ul type=disc][*]Sw-motech Crashbars[*]Radiator guards[*]Akropovic exhausts[/ul]

I honestly find the front brakes amazingly powerful so i personally wouldn't call them underwhelming in any way

You don't have gallons until empty but you have litres used which should serve the purpose

I can assure you that niggle is most definitely a word To be fair the BMW S1000XR is indeed a much better motorcycle but to get it with the same extras as the GT you are looking at almost double the price in Europe (around +80%) so it really is not comparable to the GT. As @fddriver2 pointed out I think you need to look at similar priced machines for comparisons

Givi seems to give good all round protection My 2 cents on the various brands looking at designs are: [ul type=disc][*]SW-motech bars which are already available for the GT and believe they offer little to no protection for the lower parts of the bike. [*]Touratech bars are just f'ugly and have the same issue as SW-Motech[*]The Heed look good but not as clean as the Givi. They seem to be a mix of Givi and SW-Motech[*]Fehling offer good lower protection but nothing up top. In todays world or youtube, facebook, etc manufacturers don't need to rely on magazines to build up a hype. The reality is that in order for manufacturers to continue allowing journalists to gain access to their bikes they can't be too critical.

I think it is due to liability. Until they have had a version of the bike and tested it they won't market it as compatible which is the way it should be in all honesty.

Are you referring to SW-Motech, or Givi? I believe the Givi should protect the lower parts.

I would have thought so but most manufacturers list products as not compatible. I believe it is also due to clearance for body panels which have changed in shape.

There is a guy on here who just installed the fehling bars. A lot of manufacturers are still producing them for the GT (I am waiting for the Givi ones personally)

What are your thought s on it? So the windscreen is significantly wider. I believe that this has the unexpected disadvantage of redirecting the air flow onto the hand guards which might be a bit of a disadvantage in very cold climates. In terms of height there is no difference in the air is still directed to the top of my helmet which creates a fair bit of turbulence noise. We also had some mild rain here yesterday and my visor was still getting hit by rain. I am 5ft 10. The only real advantage is that it is wide enough so if you duck down you can get under the full protection of the screen and doesn't look like a bath screen. This isn't possible with the standard screen.

To be honest that is the thing holding me back from purchasing one for myself. I had contacted Scorpion to see if they were planning on launching the model with different ring options but they said no.

P.s. The GT-air is at end of life as the GT-air 2 has been launched so there should be large discounts available. If they haven't yet hit shops near you then waiting a little while should help you make a saving. In Europe there is already close to discounts of about 50% on certain models. Also, be careful not to mix colour schemes like the GT-Air wanderer 2 with the GT-air 2.
