  1. New DID 525 VX3 chain and sprockets from Sprocket Center after 19.2k miles. First time doing install and thumbs up for Motion Pro chain tool! I upgraded all my sockets to 6 point vs 12 which is essential IMO for success with the high torque nuts...
  2. I just ordered one of these, price is certainly right, but what's difference between using a kit to prop up the front and just putting seat in high position, which is, uh, raising the front...
  3. I got this comfort seat for my 2019 GT soon after buying it new. Have 20k miles on it now. Very happy w it, much better than stock. Am a few more lbs than you...
  4. From an earlier post: Got around to straightening my Bars/Forks. Took a whopping 15 min - I loosened the front axle 1st - loosened the lower triple clamp retaining bolts - left the top triple tree bolts alone - stood in front of the bike and held the tire between my knees and turned the bars in the direction I wanted. I didn't feel any movement or hear any creaking, but looking at the bars from the back showed they were pretty straight. - tightened front axle Then lower triple tree. Took her for a ride and she's perfectly straight now. Still wondering why the dealer couldn't handle this easy fix.... https://www.tracer900.net/topic/1303-handlebars-crooked/?do=findComment&comment=14356
  5. I have a 2019 GT. Ditto. And you can turn the tank 180° with fuel lines/hoses still connected to give you all the room you need with it now sitting where seat is normally.
  6. A bump for attention. I know a very good shop on the East Coast but that sounds just like the problem you have now. I would get a price on shipping. If you still have the boxes they came in shouldn't be too bad.
  7. Try this. They sell MRA and several years ago I got the Vario Touring for my 19 GT from them. https://twistedthrottle.com/shop/
  8. I've had several inline 4s: an 07 FJR and 2 R1s at different times, an 08 and then a 2014 (the last year before big redesign, and still what's sold now in 2024). Combined total miles on all 3 was about 80k. The new Suzukis look nice but the triple in the Tracer is so much narrower, lighter, and runs so much cooler than the I-4s. That's its huge advantage to similar looking I4 bikes IMO. And I regularly use all of the Tracers rev range. My 2019 Tracer GT has an Akra exhaust, Ohlins front and rear, and the Yamaha comfort seat No reason for me to trade for anything. I only wish it had a slightly larger gas tank to be more of a distance tourer between stops.
  9. All true, but get sag and suspension set for your weight by competent bike shop. IMO stock suspension on 19/20 Tracer will handle very well for riders under 225 lbs.
  10. I'm a top case guy. Keeps a slim profile for when lane splitting is needed. A laptop can lay flat in it. Never see it when on the bike. It's just there whenever you arrive at destination! Only downside is if you cover your bike it leaves a big profile due to its height.
  11. I have Vnut's flash and an Akro full exhaust, no cat, on my 2019 GT. About 15k miles after the flash. If only city riding, get prompted for fuel at 155 miles. All other riding usually 175 before low fuel light comes on. Plenty good range for me although wish the bike came w a 5 gallon tank. Biggest benefit is much smoother fueling.
  12. I have an eye on Tenere 700 for future bike, where I'm doing more dirt or gravel roads. Dealers near me (NJ) have none in stock and don't expect any until 2023.
  13. I just got the Road 5's. First time trying them, havent even turned a wheel yet other than on the stands. Got 7500 miles on my OEM Dunlops and 7800 w Metzeler Sportec M7. Road 5s are significantly more expensive than both. 6's would've been even more $$ so I passed. Hope I like them!
  14. With all credit to John Madden, my Telestrater proves you have room to do figure 8's in the garage... Boom!
  15. The safety seal kits are so similar and each differs by a few bucks. What's best for a motorcycle? Thks,
  16. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/garmin-zumo-xt-motorcycle-gps?sku_id=1805469 Wow, $100 off today w Black Friday sale. My Montana still works fine but if I needed one I'd pull the trigger. No, I have nothing to do w Revzilla other than being a customer. Just passing along a sale...
  17. Black Friday is coming up. Just sayin... (ok, just noticed you're not in USA, but we bestow on you title of honorary Black Friday member so you should get one)
  18. Christmas came early! They look good, beefier than I expected and uh, sitting on the bike in my garage, work PERFECTLY.
  19. I installed the Graves plates several months ago. One cap goes on the bottom if airbox and the other is not used. Dont know why they include it.
  20. I think this is a troll. First post. @Mike123, what bike or bikes did you ride previously? In the same conditions that you say the Tracer generates heat? I mean of course on a hot day if you are not moving it will be warmer on a Tracer than if you are standing next to a palm tree. Maybe electric is in your future.
