Thanks for the heads up @BBB regarding the headers, I'll get some oil and start apply it. Pretty certain mine will be stubborn. I don't have proper facilities and a 36 mm socket to be able to do the job myself. There used to be workshop facilities for hire in London but it closed down, I used it to change the engine in my Thundercat a good few years ago. You've got me thinking I should contact a local mobile mechanic rather than try and get it to the dealer - nice one thanks 👍 I've sent a msg to a German supplier, who has one for sale, asking if they have it in stock. If so that'd take 4 or 5 days. What gets me is the disparity in the price in £, $ and €. About £520 with a 10% 'goodwill' discount from Yamaha UK, over £600 from Fowlers but 425€ from NL and DE 😟

Mine has packed up too. Started early March, stopped at a biker cafe after a ride and smelt something odd and what looked like steam. Checked and couldn't see anything so just thought it might have been someone walking behind me vaping. Went for a walk and on my return I saw coolant dripping. Rode home keeping an eye on the coolant temp, was fine. Detoured to the dealer who said, book it in! They couldn't find anything wrong. Two weeks ago was out and noticed a puddle when I stopped, moved the bike forward, nothing - started the engine and the drip started. Like before I carried on home, this time the temp shot up after 20 minutes. Stopped and saw coolant pouring out, was recovered home. Like yours, the same pipe was leaking on mine, however the bottom of the cooler is pitted and was leaking from several places. I have tried the JB Weld route, but it didn't help, fixed the pipe but not the casing. No parts available in Europe, Partzilla not shipping internationally at the moment. Have an order with a Dutch supplier who said they'd ship Thursday, now they advise not before the 10th August!

Not sure my heated gear could cope with -42C, I know I couldn't , -4.2C is more than my limit !

@ 24k miles mine were fine, soon to have the 48k service, hoping for the same.

Same as my Lava Red, I fitted a Cruise Control to try and keep it at the speed limit , otherwise it's off like a rocket

D222's I got around 5k miles, still life but not that much, Michelin PR4 7k but are wearing but to the point I changed from the 222's. The comparison though isn't like for like as my riding style on the PR4's has been 'more aggressive' on different roads.

Mine will be changed next week at the 12k mile service. I am surprised at the low mileage (even though I'm riding 50% more than US between changes) at which they are being replaced. My carbed bikes were getting well over 20k miles per set.

Alt-Berg Hogg, made in Northern England to order. The most waterproof boots I've ever come across, they learnt a thing or two from making boots for gamekeepers who seem to have a habit of standing in water!

No adapter, unscrew the mirror assembly from the handle bar, fit the extender and the supplied bolt (reverse thread one side - irc the left and normal for the other extender) bolt the mirror assembly to the other end of the extender. One thing to bear in mind with these extenders is the design does not take into consideration the menu up/down button, so you will have to angle the extender either away or towards you, effectively reducing the extended length - still way better than the standard set-up. However for the price they are very good indeed.

I found the same thing, I moved it away from me and have nothing around or obscuring the switch now - think it's better than the standard set-up. Maybe look a bit funny, but they do work! I bought some M10 (8mm hex) black socket head covers, think it finishes it off . The UK ebay site I got them from Pic of the right hand side extender, with and without the black cover.

... email this morning informs me they have been dispatched 8-) They arrived today, very quick. Fitted them this evening, will be able to test them the next ride out. Have you plugged the hex bolt heads? I found some nylon covers on e bay which hopefully will do the job, seems my stash of odds and sods don't go to 8mm. If they fit OK, I'll post the link.

I have ordered a set from Taiwan, will report back on them if no one else has first.
