  1. I did the mini upgrade. Not the Denali but another brand. It works pretty well for a direct replacement. However, it is still not loud enough for what I like. My past 4 bikes I have put a Stebel horn (same as the Denali Soundbomb). I just added it and along with the mini update I now have the sound I want that lets the car that is cutting me off think they are about to get run over by a box truck. 🙂 I mounted it via the Denali bar mount bracket off my Givi engine guards.
  2. I bought the AdventureTech one for the FJ09 and it fit. I messed up and thought it wouldn't fit and began to modify it to fit, but I was wrong. It fits fine. At worst case the angle might need to be tweaked in a vice, but that is doubtful. The GT in the picture on this page is mine. Yamaha FJ-09/MT-09/Tracer 900 GT - AdventureTech, LLC. 3. Also late to the game on this one. I contemplated a Corbin as they are 35-40 minutes away for a ride in. I got no reply. As I was stewing about that I started looking for other seats. I was extremely happy with the Sargent on my Vstrom, but Sargent wasn't even close to building a seat yet. So I started looking for customer seats that I could ride into as I wanted to try and minimize any rise in the seat height. In NorCal you have the option of Russel (which definately won't drop the seat height). Rick Mayer closed in a scandel years ago. Bill Mayer (jr) is in Ventura and then I found out about Seth Laam. I was told by some NorCal ADV riders that were extremely happy with Seth that he barely can keep up with email and it is best to call him during business hours. So I attempted emailing with a request for a ride in appt. Seth gave me his cell number and so I called him. Boom Seth Answered, asked what I wanted gave me an estimate and told me to call back if I wanted an appt. I did just that and set up a ride in time. I arrived at Seth's at 9 a.m. (5 hour drive to Redding) and Seth was already deep into a mail order seat. As we chatted and he started on my seat his phone kept ringing and he kept answering. He told pretty much everyone to call him as he didn't really have time to follow up with emails. When I say this guy was doing 2 things at once, he was. Like a master. Building my seat while answering calls. He did a test fit on my seat, then finished up the sewing. I was out of there by 1 p.m. I won't post pics as my seat looks just like the ones posted here. So far I'm happy with it and the custom process. I'm thrilled I got to keep the two piece seat (Corbin's pan is a one piece fiberglass seat) Seth was taught by the Mayers (who sold the original business to Russell Day long) so you are getting all that same knowledge in a small business package. Moral of the story. Seth Laam is a great seat builder, a one man show. Keep emailing. Eventually he will give you his Cell phone and you will be able to get in touch with him at will.
  4. On my 2019 GT I have noticed the windscreen mount moves around alot. This was made a bit worse by adding the touring windshield and then a Palmer bracket. I rode yesterday with out ear plugs and hear knocking around along with all the wiggling. The only option at the moment that I can see is adding the Givi Windshield kit to help make the system stronger. Any ideas on a DIY fab that might work. I don't care if I lose the adjustability of the shield as I never adjust it.
