2019 Tracer GT, I had Ivan’s flash done. The best thing I have done. The bike is stock otherwise. Getting rid of the fuel cut, smooth throttle in A mode, cruise control at any speed or gear, and just generally runs better is well worth the $$. By all means do it!

Trying to not buy a whole new shock. Looking in the manual it looks like it is not possible. The price of a spring is much more appealing than the cost of a shock. The rebound on the stock shock is adequate.

Has anyone replaced the shock spring on the OEM Tracer 900gt rear shock. Have not taken the shock to see. Thank you

Thanks betoney, at the dealers bearings and seals are 3 to 4 times the price of after market. Was looking for a on line supplier that someone may be using. The bike is 20 years old+-.

I am going to replace the rear wheel bearings and seals on a friends older bike with close to 100,000 miles. Where do you all buy your bearings and seals. I know this is not Tracer 900 GT related, but the info here is always of high quality.

Thank you for the replies. I plan on removing the radiator as I will have the forks off for oil service and am also doing a coolant change. A good time to do some cleaning. Will pick up some angle gages. Will pickup a gasket when I go to buy the coolant. Much appreciate the advice, Duane

My question iS about feeler gauge length. My set is only 2 1/2 inches long will it be long enough to check the valves on the Tracer 900 engine if not what would be the ideal length? Also can you reuse the valve cover gasket or should that be replaced with a new one? This will be the first time I’ve ventured into a Yamaha triple although I have done many valve adjustments over the years the most involved one was on a K 1600 GT motor now that took some work thank you in advance for any response.
