  1. Just out of interest, this is the 1st bike I have had that has Spotlights fitted. I'm still no clearer on whether these are spotlights, DRL's or even Fog lights. I do ride with them on throughout the day but haven't ridden the bike at night yet. Question is, those that have them fitted, do you turn them off at night?
  2. Sorry, ignore Guys, I've just found a thread in another section on here.
  3. Having bought my 2017 Tracer over the phone without even having sat on one, ( ebay advert from a large retail dealer). Impulse I know but it just seemed the perfect bike to get back into "Modern" stuff without stupid amounts of power to hand. Absolutely loving the bike, the looks, colour and novelty of having a gleaming "as new" bike. I can't help but feel that the engine is very rough when it gets above 4.5k (I can only describe as "Gravelly") below that it's a smooth as a turbine, no idea whether it smooths out as I've not ventured much above 5.5k where it is still "Coarse" This equates to 70-80mph which is a comfortable cruising speed and it spoils the fun of just getting out and having a spin, my reason for the bike being lucky enough to be able to have one just for enjoyment. Is this how they are or is there something I could be checking / adjusting? Thanks Mark.
  4. The bike is a 2017 model and it's called Mountain Green. I've never seen another one but just had to buy the bike once I'd seen it. It's an amazing colour in the sunlight.
  5. Having just bought my Tracer I thought it was about time I retired my 17 year old OGK helmet. I seem to have a Shoei shaped head and went for the new GT Air 2, whilst there I was looking for a way to bluetooth my phone and there is a SENA kit designed to fit into the GT Air 2. Helmet is fairly noisy but I'm still not sure if a lot of that is down to the screen on the FJ, I've never had a bike with a tall screen so still experimenting (but that's another story). The headset is awesome, I can be riding at 70mph and take a call and they think I'm sitting in the house, the noise suppression is obviously amazing. You can see the general control panel fitted in top photo and in bottom photo shows the battery pack fitted at base of neck. The lining has channels already formed to take cables and earpieces. UK price was £470 for helmet and £260 for SENA Mine has a buckle, must say I'd rather a double D but can't have everything.
  6. Today I fitted a Beak. Found one that is preformed to fit around spotlights. Might get it painted to match rest of bike.
  7. Hi Steve, You'll have to let me know when, I've never actually been there, even though it's on my doorstep.
  8. It's the On/Off switch on handlebars, I guess it's water has got in and corroded the terminals as if you press the switch with different pressure the lights flicker, come on, dim etc. Thanks all.
  9. Hi, Just bought my bike used from a non franchised dealer and was so excited to get it home I didn't ask them many questions. The spotlights(?) don't work, there looks like a waterproof toggle switch on handlebars that doesn't do anything, whether ignition On, engine running, lights on main beam etc. The dealer is a 2 hour drive back so I would like to try and sort myself. I'm not even sure whether they're they spotlights, DRL's, or Fog lights. I'd prefer them to come on with ignition and be DRL's but if they're not for that purpose then please any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
  10. Just bought my 1st "modern" bike having spent the last 17 years riding Classic 80's stuff. WOW, is all I can say, didn't realise I was missing so much. Cheers!
