  1. I'm wintering about 45 minutes from Madstad so in February I'm going there to buy a screen & have it shipped to my home outside Buffalo, NY. That'll be the first mod to my '21 Tracer but doubt if it'll be the last.
  2. As everyone else has mentioned, I'm pleased you escaped with minor unpleasantries. Cops/legal help involved yet?
  3. Was able to find a new Red '21 & my dealer was able to trade for it. Bike will be in western NY but I'm a snowbird presently in Zephyrhills Florida. Luckily not far from Madstad Engineering in Brooksville so will be getting their windshield system soon. Previously had anFJ-09 and sold my '10 FZ1 recently to return to a triple. Also have a '19 FJR A which most likely I'll sell once I go back in early March. Glad to to back on the forum.
  4. Brian as you know the MT-10 is really the 3d gen of the FZ1 but this gen has much closer cross plane engine to the R1. Didn't put a lot of miles on mine, only 882 b4 I sold it but overall it was a good experience. Somewhat heavier than FJ obviously but weight seemed to be on a lower cg so it handled well imo. It tracked very well thru corners with bars providing great leverage.. Cruise control was a big plus as was the quick shifter. Edgy looks meant the bike stood out from other naked sport bikes. Only negative was gas mileage was not great as it's tuned for power. Hope this helps.
  5. About 14 months ago I traded in a well modded FJ for a MT-10 which had always caught my eye. Excellent chance that later today I buy a '20 GT for sport touring. So I'm going to be a forum regular again.
  6. Bought a Magura hydraulic clutch kit for install on my FL bike soon
  7. Bought/installed the Yamaha half bike cover Excellent product. Does what I wanted keeping dust & dirt off seats, tank, instruments & windshield.
  8. As I work part time @ a Yamaha shop I got a killer price on the Yosh system. Not in hand yet but not worrying as bike is in Florida & I'm in NY. November will be installed along with ECU flash.
  9. Mounted the Yamaha "City" tank bag & ring. Clearance was fine at full lock in both directions.
  10. Arai Corsair V with newly mounted Pro shield (their sun visor) is my lid.
  11. Wife beater, cut offs & flip flops. Just like all the squids, hah!!!
  12. Can you pull it in completely without hitting the controls cluster? Any adjustment was necessary? Yes I can pull it in without issue. I've nerve damage in left arm making it difficult to extend my fingers to squeeze the clutch lever. That's why I rely on adjustable levers & short ones work best for me.
  13. Replaced the clutch lever with a CRG shorty black lever with red adjuster. Now have matched set. Tomorrow morning for first ride to see how it works.
  14. Finally back from Florida & yesterday picked up new FJ-09. Installed Kouba mirror extenders & Yammie rear luggage rack. Today is Madstad screen & R&G spools.
  15. Has anyone found a source for steel braided lines yet? TIA.
  16. Received R&G cotton reel swing arm spools for install after I get my bike in 2 weeks.
  17. Shoei Neotec modular with drop down sunscreen for riding in Florida. When back in NY I use Arai Corsair V.
  18. Again, you don't have to remove the complete hand guards to fit the Madstad screen. Only the outer piece & they provide button to fill where the mounting bolts were.
  19. I rode over & purchased a kit which I got for 20% off for cash & local pick up. Won't be able to tell you more as my FJ is still crated in New York. Won't pick it up till the end of April when I return to the frozen north after wintering in Florida. Didn't appear to be too difficult to switch between screens. You did notice that you have to remove the outer hand guard cover to fit the Madstad screen right?
  20. Did you ride over to Madstad yet? They now show an 18" version for the FJ-09, might work well for my multi-day rides (I'm 5' 7".) I'm curious about how easy it would be switch back and forth between the 18" Madstad, and my current CalSci shorty (which I may cut down shorter.)
  21. Gonna ride over to Madstad to look at their kit this coming week. Saw it mounted on a bike in a dealership here in Zephyrhills, Florida. Madstad is located in Dade City, Florida, next town North.
  22. Part number? LIT-11616-28-46 Pricey but I've always ordered them straight away.
