  1. For my 2019, it's this: B1J-83980-01-00 (FRONT STOP SWITCH ASSY)
  2. I drug my feet a bit on the recall for my Tracer GT. I did inquire with the dealer local to me (where I purchased the bike), but they had a six week backlog (just to do the service, not to get the part), and I was planning to relocate at about that time so just decided to wait. Then after moving, the bike was working fine, I didn't know of any reputable dealers in my (new) area, so I procrastinated. Then it failed :(. The brake light would intermittently stay on (mostly it was on) and the cruise control failed. I could still hear the faint audible clicks and of course there is nothing to service on this switch (without disassembly), so I reached out to the Yamaha dealer nearest me. Sadly, they were less than cooperative. They insisted I bring the bike to them (45 min ride each way, with no brake lights) before they would even order the part, and refused to check on the time to source the part, or even how quickly they'd service it once sourced. I had hoped I could offer my VIN, they'd order the part, and then we could just schedule the service. So I just ordered the switch from Partzilla ($67) and installed myself. I hate to spend my own money for a factory recall, but in this case, it was worth it to spend this much and get it done without the hassles and time dealing with my local dealer. I took my time to ensure it was all done just like the factory install. And just an FYI, none of those ties or plastic clamps need to be cut. All of them are designed so that you can press a tab where the teeth engage to release them. For that center (wide) tie, it is indeed a bit difficult to reach, but certainly not impossible (small right-angle pic works well). Same for all the others. If you take your time, you can remove them without cutting and re-use.
  3. Thanks @roadrash83 ... appreciate the feedback. It looks like a close match in the pics here, but that blue on the bike is a bit of deep purple, so wasn't sure how well it matched. Thank you again... and take care.
  4. @wordsmith and @roadrash83 thank you... So I'm just about ready to pull trigger, but I must decide between seats in stock at Chromeburner (they have either all-silver piping and lettering, or all-blue stitching and lettering), or order from Bagster (through Chromeburner) to get the blue piping and silver lettering. Sadly the blue/silver combo order will run me about $80 US more. But I do like that look. So my question is ... does that blue piping match relatively well with the blue on the bike? If you had it to do over, would you stay with blue there, or you think it may look better to keep piping silver like the lettering? Thanks so much for your feedback.
  5. @wordsmith or @roadrash83 ... curious, can you provide any guidance on best site for ordering these seats ,and how... I visited motostorm.it and chromeburner.com, and while I see some 'ready' configs on bagster seats, I don't see this specific build (pictured at top of thread) nor do I find a configurator. Any tips or advice would be appreciated (what the specs are on that seat, and how you ordered)... thanks so much.
  6. I too reached out earlier today, and was told they would be shipping the redesigned seats tomorrow, Nov. 8. I'm very anxious to hear what you think of your new seat.
  7. I suppose that's one way to look at it. And indeed the QC was lacking on this release. But at least they are owning that and trying to make it right. As vendors in this space go, Sargent does much better than many in terms of both quality and customer service. This initial Tracer seat was a big misfire for sure. But let's give them a chance to make it right. My .02
  8. I wrote to Sargent, expressing concerns here and asking whether they were aware and working to resolve. Below is the response I received. In summary, they are aware, and they will address all fitment issues in the next couple of weeks (including slope complaint). But they will not fix the gap with stock rear seat, so you'll need to purchase both front and rear (or live with this gap). -----response from Sargent follows----- We are aware of the issues and have acquired a motorcycle for further product refinements. All of the points ... are being examined for resolution. We are halting sales until the improvements can be implemented (most within the next week or two). VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Upon further examination, we’ve determined that the TRECER 900 seats MUST be only sold as a front and rear set going forward or a gap is visible (as per the gentleman’s photos below) between the Sargent front and OEM rear. BTW- we’ve sold one front unit only per our records. If someone is determined to purchase a front only, they must be informed and understand that there will be a resulting gap between front and rear. You can share the image below if you like. How to handle anyone who previously purchased seats and has problems: Let them know that we will replace the seat once the issues are resolved, but that it is okay to ride as is (a bit of side to side wiggle and gap in the front in LOW position), until this can be arranged. The revised version, should also address any forward slope shortcomings and latch easier as well. Mark Todd President / R&D Director
  9. Oh by the way did it fit nicely for you on both low and high setting? Which mount height are you using?
  10. Thanks so much for this! So looks like no issues with fitment, even with stock rear, seems nice and tidy, no gaps on front or rear.
  11. Thanks so much! Does the blue welt match closely? It seems a bit more blue, less blurple, in your pic. Trying to decide on that vs silver.
  12. I'm trying to decide on whether to order this seat. Could I trouble you to post a pic with Sargent front and stock rear? Is the extra width too much? Look odd? And the forward slope? Much better? I was about to call them today, but then I read a post here suggesting it really does not cute the slope issue. Thoughts?
