  1. My 9GT+ has the touring windshield, which is a bit better (for me) compared to the 900GT. But only marginally. And I installed a spoiler on top to get it better. These kind of bikes always have some turbulent wind around the shield, and depending on your size and position it can be annoying or not. For real wind protection you need a barn door, or put up a sports shield which gets you full in undisturbed wind.
  2. No, the dealer offered €9000 for my old bike, and O had to add the same for the new one on top of that. So total €18000. You can’t find a similar bike for less, even in Europe 😅. Suzuki, Kawa, same price range (or more).
  3. The price difference between the 900GT and 9GT+ is in this part of the world “only” about €4500. So there is a difference where you live. I traded my 2019 900GT with 32000 km in for a 23 9GT+ last year and had to pay €9000 for it. Sounded reasonable to me, and more important to “she who cannot be ignored “. Very happy with the upgrade, but only because I could. If it was not possible financially or otherwise I would still love riding the 900. No doubt about it.
  4. Italian site is in english, but no details either. https://www.yamaha-motor.eu/ie/en/service-support/connectivity/ccu-updates/# But it is in the smartphone connectivity part, so don’t think it will do anything on the bike itself. Can’t find the same on my dutch site, so doubt this is a worldwide update.
  5. I have a GT+ as well, so also curious how to update and where did you get the file? And before updating I would also like to know the release notes, as I tend not to repair anything that aint broken.
  6. This is the best solution. https://jk3d.us/product/yamaha-tracer-900-gt-seat-slope-modification/
  7. They ship with DHL which is not the fastest shipper. I live in the next door country, but even then a simple tankring took 4 days to arrive.
  8. Glad you think the clutch is a work on its own. Thought it was just me. On my previous 900GT I had adjustable levers installed, so the pickup point was a bit closer before my hand was fully expanded. Now it is at the far point for my fingers to reach. At least that is my imagination. As I have a GT+, don’t know yet if adjustable levers are available, have to do some searching. On the other hand, after 1350 kms, I start getting used to it a bit. I agree with you good points, except in the heatwave of last week (in our country) the heat from the engine was more than I used to with the 900 when standing still. Otherwise no issue.
  9. I have the LED+ signal lights installed. They double as daylight driving lights, so always 3 lights on in front and back.
  10. Sorry about the link, you are right. My eyes are getting old 😵. And the larger adjuster just makes my -900 ram mount incompatible. So looking for something new as well. The Cosmo parts are an alternative. The amazon part is shown with the short adjuster. Not sure if it works on the 2023. So if anyone has experience with this, pictures please.
  11. Your first link is -900, so not -9. And be aware that the 2023 -9 has a changed windshield attachment. Read somewhere on this forum that it changed the length of the adjuster, lower or higher, don’t remember. So I am a bit carefull when ordering something that is using those bolts as attachment point.
  12. Even in a small country like ours, the west was wet, the east almost dry 😀. So got 2 rides in. Next week will be difficult, as we are away a few days, small holiday (without the bike 😢).
  13. Picked up my GT+ last Saterday as well 😊. First 400 km under the belt. Engine and gearbox need to loosen up some, but is expected. ACC works like a charm, very handsom on highway parts. Have to get used to all connectivity of the dashboard, but who is waiting for telephone calls and WhatsApp messages while driving? Better sound that the 900, deeper rumble but not loud which I like. Windscreen needs an upgrade with a spoiler on top to keep me out of the wind, but standard windscreen is a bit too flexible to keep it steady. Will need a compleet exchange of screen and spoiler. All in due time. Only need for a good GPS mount. Interim solution is a ramball on the handlebar.
  14. I agree I use my bike CC mostly on a free road, because there it is of value. Otherwise you would constantly turn it on/off depending on traffic. But ACC as in my car, I use it multiple times, just because it adapts to traffic. Will see after Saturday, as I will get my GT+. See how often I will use it compared to my car.
  15. In my car, it brakes unless the car in front is moving faster. Then it will wait if there will be enough distance between you and the other car in some time and keep the current speed. If it takes too long it will slow down a bit to get the required distance. ACC is no autopilot, when a situation appears where it could start interfering, you can open the throttle a bit and it will refrain from interfering. You are the driver, you control your bike. Getting to know how it works and understanding take a bit of time. But in the end it works 95% as it should, the other 5% you just take over. You were driving anyway.
  16. Of course. If there is nothing in the way, it will keep the speed selected. Only starts to decelerate if an obstacle is detected.
  17. The good news is the delay of 2 weeks is canceled, so somewhere end next week I can get my new ride. The bad news…. no there isn’t 😅
  18. Yup, 300 kms is a long ride 😂. Otherwise you left the country.
  19. I bought mine at v.d.Kuinder. No previous experience with them, as my own dealer stopped selling new bikes. Hope you get yours next week.
  20. Just curious, at which dealer did you buy your new GT?
  21. You are lucky then, getting it that fast. I traded my 900GT for the 9GT+ ordered 6 weeks ago. Should be delivered end of august, but today they told me it will be 2nd week september. Argggg, the GT+ is in too much demand, deliveries are changing every week. So I will enjoy my 900GT for a little more, nothing bad about that, just wanted my new toy.
  22. Trekker case is from GIVI, so you need the Givi rack and monokey adapter plate to fit your case. Don’t know where to buy them, as I am in Europe. But a simple google search should suffice.
  23. As a small topbox you might be interested in the GIVI TREKKER case, which comes in a 33 ltr version. Normally used as a sidecase, but can be used as a topbox as well. I used it as a very good laptop carrier to work.
  24. I use a SW-Motech micro tank bag. Just a small bag for the convenient stuff you need direct on the road and easy to carry when off the bike. I have the EVO type which is discontinued, but available in a PRO version as well.
  25. It is used on the driver seat opening mechanism, put on top somewhere (forgot where exact) to prevent unauthorized opening of the seat. Not really needed, I have removed it.
