  1. I agree with most of the comments. I'm good with the seat and use a lamb skin when on longer trips. The power is great, the roar starting at 5,000 rpm is sweet, and having the option to use the anti-wheelie (LIF - 3) in the TCS-M mode is a wonderful feature for this amount of power. I will say that the screen shape is flawed with the size of the cuts being too large, this creating an air eddy over the tank once you get over 40mph. As I did with the OEM screen on my Gen 1 Versus, I added an MRA vario to screen add-on that helps alleviate some of the noise from the air eddy. Have fun and I look forward to seeing you out there.
  2. Getting ready for my second oil change and was considering getting a magnetic oil pan plug. Have the specs on the size and thread pitch, but not the length. Anybody done this recently? thx. rayJ - 2021 tracer Gt 900
  3. I picked up the 2021 In July and noticed that when riding it home on the X-way, the noise became very bad from about 55MPH and up, not matter which position. Found that the problem is the cutouts near the bottom on each side that allows the wind to converge over the gas tank. I installed a vario type top piece, and when positioned low to force the air down across the shield it cuts out quite a bit of the noise. Raising to a high position really does nothing. I'm on the slab a lot and find that the low bracket position with the vario piece in the position described works best. Will get a picture posted.
  4. No break on the list price or the setup and taxes. So the only way I come ahead is to get a better trade in. These were supposed to have been delivered to dealers by early to mid May, but they were all sitting on the west coast. The loads were too light to attract many haulers even if you got 36 in a trailer. One red one came to town 2 weeks ago. I have been in contact with the only 2 dealers close to Cincinnati and the only one to appear so far is the red one I mentioned. That dealer wanted to know if I wanted to order a '22 and wait since he doubted he would have anything to trade another dealer as even his used stock is so low. I put a deposit down on 5/4 and my bike arrived yesterday. It's 40 miles up the road but will give me a chance to figure some of the options out on the way home.
  5. Actually joined in 2020 but am just now getting a 2021 GT in a couple of days. Look forward to being an active forum contributor. Coming off a 2008 Versys and that forum really helped me farkle the beast over the years. Can anybody tell me what needs to be added to a new GT, or any funky items I have to get used too? Sounds like the aux. electronics might be a bit weak and a fuse block is in order, and there might be some mystery buzz. Thanks. RayJ
  6. About to pick up a new 21 GT on Friday. I'm from over in blue Ash, and have been tracking these things for a couple of years. Anything funky about the bike I should be forewarned about?

Look forward to seeing you out on the road sometime. I'm coming off of a 650 Versys.

  7. Coming up on 69, but it's all relative. Still like to say: I know, it's only rock in roll, but I like it, yes I do.
