  1. Stunning. And the road surface looks so smooth.
  2. I pop my head out to the left or right of the screen for a second, and the raindrops blow off to the side brilliantly.
  3. I love how we all have amazing stories, and it never ceases to amaze me how we survived it all. Nowadays, with breakdown cover, mobile phones, reliable machinery, it's a different world. Still brilliant being on a bike of course. Do you guys in the USA wave to other bikes coming the other way? Sort of keeps the 'brotherhood' going.
  4. Remember the Honda MT50/MB50 , I used to genuinely feel sorry for the lads riding around on those.
  5. I know, right. I mean, why? You couldn't pay me to ride one.
  6. Reminds me of my pal's kh250 triple. We were all heading out of Glasgow to go North, loaded up with all our camping gear. Stopped at a massive junction, and he started revving the nuts off it. So myself and my pal on our 250 4 strokes got all ready behind him for a proper blast away from the lights. Lights went to green, and we both missed hitting his rear end by inches, either side, as his bike limped forward, thanks to the wonders of a 250 triple that wanted to be a twin. When it worked well it was great, but that was pretty rare
  7. The price of old 2 strokes here in the UK is unbelievable. Even old rusty heaps of rubbish. Apparently nostalgia is an expensive business in motorcycling, and people forget just how awful some of the older bikes actually were. I would love an RD350LC , but I like being able to afford to feed myself, and have money left over for petrol.
  8. I don't think he is trying to sell his products, rather , he is giving you a genuine response, to ensure that you are not disappointed when getting 1/2 of your suspension sorted out does not produce the results you are hoping to achieve. I have mine booked in for the 8th September for front and rear upgrades to K-Tech. It is a lot of money to spend, but I wouldn't consider getting 1/2 of it done. You could always get the front done, then get the rear done at some time in the future if it was an issue. You 'could' be fine that way, but I think if you ask any suspension expert they will quickly recommend that you get both ends dealt with.
  9. Thats just like it, must have been a 200. Ah , happy memories.
  10. Had a friend with a blue RD400, he crashed it on a right hand junction, and it slid right under a parked police car, which didn't go down very well with the 2 officers sitting inside. How we laughed. He never rode a bike again.
  11. Pretty sure one of my pals had a red and black RD250, I didn't pay a huge lot of attention when they all first got into bikes.
  12. Today... Washed the bike. Rode it for around 60 miles (to quickly dry it of course) Lathered it in ACF50.
  13. Red, I'm going with a Suzuki X7 250 , around 1980ish
  14. Exactly, they do nothing, but attract attention (which is partly their purpose I suppose) , but not the sort of attention I need. I'm sure you have similar laws about showing blue lights. I quite like having a license
  15. Thanks, I'll have a look on the yamaha eu site and check. Much appreciate all the helpfulness on here.
  16. Oh ya beauty! That is exactly what they are. I'm swapping them out for something that doesn't show blue lights on the front, it's just begging to be pulled with blue showing
  17. And now the spending begins..... melted wallet time.
  18. Super cool, I didn't know it came from hebrew (ivrit). I have learned quite a bit of hebrew over the years. My best friends live in Israel, and I visit as often as I can afford. Pish has multiple meanings... Pish off = beat it. I need a pish = I need to urinate. I'm pished = I am more than a little inebriated. He's pish = he is rubbish (normally used in sports, like football)
  19. hehehehe, aye, but here we call that a pish, and wee = small. Reminds me, I once went for a ride with my pals, turned out they were doing a 24 hr navigation competition, all over England. My wife went absolutely crazy when I wandered in 24 hours later, with a wee bronze trophy in my hands. I remember sleeping on the sofa for a good week after that 'wee/short' ride.

    Pillar Point

That looks like a great ride, with some beautiful scenery. You sure are blessed.
  21. It all came with the bike, and I have no way to contact the previous owner to enquire, but one of our fellow forum users asked about them , so on the off chance....
  22. Just in from a wee ride down to the coast and back, stopped for a smokearette and ....
