  1. I have the their super bike lift , works great, can do all the same works but not lifted to the sky. Did both tires last fall with ease. Well worth the money. Mike
  2. Yep would be nice but too much salt brine on roads here in Ohio. Mike
  3. Actually just read where fuels with some ethanol added are great at at cleaning the valves and combustion chamber . Most fuels have up to 10% ethanol with Yamaha says if fine to run in their bikes. Mike
  4. Just thinking that you said you used mostly non ethanol fuel ,that maybe it doesn't have all the cleaning additives of normal high test fuels. Just a thought. Mike.
  5. I myself would steer clear of the lithium bat. I've had the best luck with Gel batteries. Last a long time and have good cranking power. Mike
  6. I used the Carbtune ,the one with rods made in the UK. Works great.
  7. Oh I know how it works . I'm just questioning this dealer's results,! Mike
  8. I'm only questioning why the valves all of a sudden are leaking when they had supposed to have done the last valve adjust. Seems odd . Will for sure follow this post to see the outcome. Mike
  9. Wow ,my question how do they know what valves are leaking. No way! No start can be a number of things . How about spark , fuel. Switches. .for it to just not start out of the blue. And maybe that replaced fuel pump give out? Lots to consider before valves. Mike
  10. For me the first thing to check on an overheating issue is the thermostat to see if it's opening. Sounds like this dealer hasn't a clue . I wouldn't trust them with anything. These bikes are not that hard to work on ! Mike
  11. Did throttle body sync today. Was at 12,000 miles. Took my time and wasn't bad at all. Looked at some videos on Utube. Big help. They were really close. Now I know how to strip the bike and just how to go about it .Going get a new air filter, plugs ,and instal block on plates. To get rid of the air injection system and the stupid hoses on my next teardown
  12. fuel tank removal

  13. Almost bought one of these when they first came out. Actually went to the dealer with a grand for a deposit. Didnt have one in stock and couldn't tell me when they would get one ,so didnt take my deposit. I wanted a sporty Harley and finally thought this was it . I liked the Buels. but never pulled the trigger. Would like to have one ,like you just for the different riding experience ! MIKE
  14. I noticed the tight and angled shifting with my size 11 boots on first ride on my new 2020 coming home from dealer . I to tried to do some adjust at lever connections but could quickly see that wasnt going to work. I pondered and thought , hey just move the upper splined conection from gear box 1 tooth. Wow problem solved. Not the racing angle from the factory ,and fits and shifts great Quick shifter and all.
  15. Welcome also to the site and enjoy your new ride. The GT brings a smile every ride. MIKE
  16. If you had to drill and tap for the helicoil ,may have a opened up a small hole or tore gasket. Just a thought. MIKE
  17. K&N 204 here also and by chance the same filter my ST 1300 also took which definitely needed the welded nut to remove and replace the filter ! MIKE
  18. Congrats on your new ride. Like many of the older guys a great change to go to a lighter weight alternative, myself coming from a Honda ST 1300 and going to a 2020 GT . Love the power and the light handling. To me it seems like riding a big dirt bike compared to the heavy ST. No regrets what so ever and has been a trouble free Joy to ride! MIKE
  19. I agree with having a clutch lever to control. I was pleasantly surprised to see the cp3 with the cable clutch, being my last 2 rides were hydraulic and not as smooth ,also a lot more complex. That said the DCT,s in the Honda line are nice!
  20. Yea the sky lift is pricey. At least with the superbike stand with front lift, will be able to take off both wheels for easier tire changes and also exhaust work !
  21. I got mine put away for winter . They already salted and brined the roads here . So I'm done till the road are washed off with the spring rains . It sucks but the brine they use just eats metal. Did get two early XMAS presents for bike .A Black Widow exhaust and an ABBA Superbike stand with front lift. Looking for spring install for next season. MIKE
  22. Welcome , I too coming from an ST 1300 Honda wanted something lighter and the GT900 looked like the bike. Also coming from many years of riding and racing dirt bikes ,it reminds of a big dirt bike with its quickness and, light weight, but with the street goodies to make the ride enjoyable! MIKE
  23. I suspect he may want to remove to add an extension on it or to clean .That would be the only reason I could think of. like so. MIKE
