  1. I have For Sale,an Ohlins ya535,just had it completely renewed a100 miles ago,new internals, new shock body and new spring,so a basically new shock, these are £1100,i'm looking for £750ono,2 comfort seats as new,£250,puig screen with spoiler, light tint,as new £75,givi tank ring and sat nav bracket(above the clocks)£30,thanks gary.
  2. Yes it is more about the bracket,Thanks guys.
  3. Iv'e had the front forks fitted with ohlins springs and re-valved and bought a used ya 535 ohlins shock from ebay but apart from the shock body being worn out inside[i have a new one on order] i have NO BRACKET to attach it to the bike, the suspension expert who is doing this for me in the UK says the bracket is not an ohlins part,so has anybody who has done this to a 2020 900gt got any idea if such a bracket exists or do you have to make your own, thanks in advance for any replies.
  4. Having had a 2013,2018 and 2021 ninja 1000 and the latest versys, why have i now got a 2020 tracer 900 GT,the ninja 1000's are neither sports and definitely not tourers, even with 40mm bar risers on the bars are still way too low to be a tourer especially two up,the latest ninja 1000 has a seat that is possibly 3 times thicker than the older models BUT if you are heavy after an hour you start to sink in the seat as its far too soft and you feel like you are sitting on the frame,me and the wife were 200 miles from home after being out on it for hours,we had to stop every 50 miles as it was so uncomfortable, the tracer has the perfect bar, peg, seat position, the versys 1000 is so much heavier than the ninja with a "detuned version"of the same engine, you would think a heavier bike would have at least the same 140bhp engine as the ninja but no a paltry 118bhp for a bike that weighs over 250kgs,the versys is just not worth the money and put a topbox on and it gets a nasty weave at 90mph plus, this lot costs me a shedload of money and my current tracer is far better than the lot of them all it needs is ohlins suspension, which i am currently getting fitted,iv'e even had the latest tracer 9gt but gone back to this one. I test rode the supercharged ninja 1000 £27,000 english pounds and the engine sounded like a bag of spanners, horrible thing brought it back to the dealer after 20 mins, screen way too low, bars too low and sounds horrible.
  5. The suzuki GX is once again like the GT and yamaha mt10 and new tracer, reliant on these tiny piss poor excuses for headlights,as already said don't need any of the adaptive cruise control, imu etc,Just some GOOD HEADLIGHTS so i can actually go out in the dark and a centre stand,so once i get my suspension i will have no reason to change.
  6. First thing i did before i put the bike in my garage for the 1st time after riding 250 miles home from picking it up was to take that thing off,it's a shame most of you are overseas as you could have mine F O C.[Nearly as bad as them things over the back wheel,ie bmw gs]
  7. The newer model was ok,but could not live with that "matchbox" they laughing call a "headlight" downright dangerous on the small backroads i ride in the dark,it is too small and because of the shape goes left and right of you and not very far ahead, other things i found were the very light front wheel made me feel like the bike was never really "planted" on the road when cranked over, the screen bracket is not strong enough to accept the size screen it has,and of course the ridiculously small clocks that i could not read the small numbers,i am also getting more mpg on the older model strangely as the newer model was already very good.
  8. After having the 21 model tracer, have now "gone back" to the previous model.
  9. My 2020 is a lot better looking and it actually has a headlight, the one on the new model is atrocious and dangerous,i hated the clocks, the screen and the "headlight" and that model can only take 190kgs total weight which is only 10 more than mine so once i get the suspension sorted [it's fine for me,but we are 2up a lot] i believe it will be the better bike [for me anyway]
  10. I have gone the other way,i had a 2017 tracer,then a new tracer 9GT in 2021,i now have a 2020 tracer 900 GT.
  11. rlambke19,the bracket attaches to the 2 top rad mounting points that are accessible after you have taken the 2 side fairings off [easy 1 bolt,3 quick rivets].each side,if you end up with my spotlights i will explain in detail, thanks.
  12. Hi,Do you know anybody over the border because i can post it there for under a tenner [£10 uk] i know several people that i could post it to in northern ireland as i am over there every year, and i am over in sligo in may.
  13. Sold my bike now and have the foglights/mounting bracket and comfort seat for sale,it's a shame that most owners on here are NOT in the UK.
  14. I have FOR SALE [in the U.K.] 1] Genuine Yamaha spotlights/foglights with mounting bar and all wiring [only on the bike for 2 weeks,so as new] £275+£6 post. SOLD. 2]Genuine Yamaha riders comfort seat £100+£6 post. 3]Above the clocks sat nav mount £30 posted.
  15. I cannot understand why the GS is so popular, when personally i think it's got the WORST engine ever made and i can't understand why i am in the minority,we are all different and thank god for it.
  16. I have just traded it in this afternoon for a ktm 1290,so if anybody in the UK wants the spotlights and the bar they sit on £275 posted, also comfort riders seat £100.
  17. I want a ktm 1290 super adventure, always planned to get a v4 tuono alongside the tracer but that's not going to happen, the tracer is just so easy to ride it does not excite me,i miss the excitement of my mt10,zzr1400 and ktm 1290 superduke.
  18. I am selling my silver tracer GT,it will be 3MONTHS old on the 23rd,it has 1770 miles on it,immaculate condition in silver with an evotech rad guard, yamaha rack and 50L topbox with backrest and inner bag,the panniers have unused inner bags, all 3 boxes are opened by the ignition key,it also has the yamaha spotlights, these and the comfort seat will be on the bike if the 2nd price is obtained,it does 60mpg and if you are really going for it still achieves 57mpg,it is a great bike BUT i am used to another 40-50bhp and i miss that, that is the only reason for sale.£10,250 or £10,500 with everything.Bike is in Northampton,UK.
  19. Greasyjonny,I don't know what cars you have driven to have a worse headlight than the new tracer [one where you have to light a wick perhaps] My new tracer 9 gt has got the crappiest headlight iv'e had on a bike since my 6v moped in 1978,it is dangerous,i can't see on roads i have been going down for over 40 yrs, high beam is ok but we are so crowded on our island you can never have high beam on for more than 10seconds there is always something coming no matter what time of day,its the shape of it aswell,it goes up the grass verge on one side and in the other lane on the other,i have adjusted it down to make it a bit brighter and now got the yamaha spotlights when they are on with the dipped beam i can actually see but £350 for these when it should have a good light in the first place[i am not blind by the way] only this bike and the moped iv'e ever had a problem with, the other 78 bikes had good lights. For people who have the gen 1 and 2,if you do not need the extra weight capability [i do] your model has got better lights and clocks so i would keep them.Believe me Betoney your thoughts are correct about the light.
  20. I only wanted to get at the wires behind it so i could splice my sat nav wires into them, but as there is no info or videos of how to take the NEW MODEL to bits,i had to run the wire under the tank and have it straight to the battery. This is because there is only ONE accessory plug down the left side of the bike at that is needed for the foglights. Not ideal but it's done now.
  21. Just finished fitting the yamaha foglights/spotlights,easy to fit but nowhere to put all the wiring, now the left fairing panel does not fit as good as the other side because of all the wiring and i had to disconnect the satnav because that was the connector needed for the lights,so i wondered if anybody had changed the 12v socket behind the clocks for a usb one and could tell me how to remove it,then i could splice the satnav wire into the back of that, cannot see a way of getting it off, thanks in advance for any help/wisdom.
  22. Welcome,i had a 17 plate tracer and i am missing it even though i have the brand new model,i had to have it because of the increased weight capability otherwise i would have kept your model as i miss the better clocks and above all the bigger lights so if you do not want to load up your bike you have the better model in my opinion,i hate going out at night on mine.
  23. Kenny A,Thanks very much i did not know yamaha did spotlights for our bikes,i was looking at chinese one's and trying to get one's the same shape then you would need engine bars[which i don't want] so asked my dealer about the yamaha one's just now and they ordered 2 sets for customers back in july for end of november delivery and 1 set for the shop stock,i have just bought them, well happy,i have been out several times in the dark and cannot see where i am going had a couple of near misses already in the 5 weeks iv'e had it[in the dark],high beam they are ok but you can NEVER have them on high beam for more than a few seconds in this country there is always something coming no matter what time of day,so i will be setting them a bit further up the road than the dismal single low beam and having them on at night ALL the time.
  24. I got the yamaha rack and 50l topbox and the pannier inner bags at the same time i picked up the bike, first time i have used the yamaha genuine topbox, always had Givi and more recently shad, they are both better quality and the inner bag for the topbox is crap i use my givi one, but with the yamaha one all 3 boxes are opened with the bike's ignition key.I want spotlights as the standard ONE at night is dangerous.
