  1. Hmm could have been in high position I didn’t check. Have to wait until they are open again then guess will give it another shot.
  2. For anyone that is curious, a dealer in my neck of the woods finally got a tracer 9 gt in. I was able to sit on it right next to a 900 gt and even though the seat is “lower” the wider seat definitely makes it “higher”. I am 5’11 (183 cm) and I can easily flat foot the 900 GT but on the 9 GT I am on the balls of my feet. Not too high maybe heels are up maybe an inch but there is definitely a difference. I like being able to put my feet flat and I thought with lower height would be fine but not so much. Just an example of should probably try before you buy! Not sure if after market seat would change this or not but maybe… going to go look at a 9 GT again, Ducati MS 950S and Triumph tiger today.. we will see what I walk out with..
  3. Yea not sure I am a real fan of that dash. Guess I will have to see what it is like in person. What’s killing me is the price! 15k! Electronic suspension I guess is cool but man... was hoping for a bit lower price.
  4. Well looks like announcing this week like I thought. Awesome, is this at there website or somewhere else? I hope the release date is more like January instead of March, but guess we will see!
  5. Yamaha announced 2021 MT-10 and MT-03 this week so doesn’t leave much left. Maybe we will get the tracer announcement next week.
  6. Looks like some new MT series announcements coming October 27th. Maybe a preview of what’s in store for tracer. Here is the teaser video https://youtu.be/djp4i4NVWUs
  7. Not sure I am a fan of the last look but if they have cornering ABS I am in. I road 300 km yesterday on a 2018 tracer on highways and mountains. Great bike and will try to pick up a 2020 at a discount if there isn’t some major enhancement on this one.
  8. I would agree with that normally except this is Japan we’re things work a bit different. The dealers are owned by Yamaha (unlike states) and they usually have very limited room to show any bikes (most are more of repair shops with maybe 5-10 bikes to show). Most are ordered on demand (same with cars). Test bikes are usually used multiple years unless there is a major revision. The tracer at this dealer for instance was a 2018 model. Bikes also have to be registered to test drive which technically makes them used and ticks down inspection timer (you get 3 years when new but then have to pay roughly $800-$1000 every two years after). So seems a bit odd to me unless a new model is coming but could be they just want to dump it before inspection timer goes out. Anyway, seems like for Euro 5 new bikes have to update for standard in 2021 so might just see engine revision and that’s it.
  9. Hi everyone, Not to give a false sense of hope, but I have been looking around for a used tracer GT (I am in japan) and ran a cross Yamaha shop selling a test ride bike. Can’t imagine they would want to do that unless there is a few updates coming this year... maybe the engine change for Euro 5 at least... my big hope would be cornering ABS but that probably isn’t happening. Kind of holding off buying one with hope of announcement in next month or so...
