Don't do it, its a high compression engine and I am certain the engine does not have a knock/detonation sensor. That would be the only way the ECU could respond and retard timing. If you already have AT LEAST half a tank of 91 then I'd say its OK to add some regular if needed just to get you home.

I figured you did. Canada switched to metric in 1975.. Much better system but the change caused an airliner crash afterwards due to a mixup in pounds vs. kilograms. when the plane was being refueled. In pounds sterling, for your convenience, here its about £1.30

In the shop manual where it describes the TB sync procedure, a tool is specified for turning the air bleed screws. Is this tool really necessary or can the screws be turned with something else?

I'd love to see a breakdown of Yamaha's best selling bikes by units sold for 2019. I bet the Tracer GT was one of their best sellers, I think they sold a lot of them..

OP's post going to be subject to lots of different responses, since "hunting" and "misfire" are kinda sorta 2 different things.

Being an electronics-ey guy, I'd be more suspicious of a bad TPS at the grip, only because I can't see how TB sync would have anything to do with the fluctuations in RPM at steady throttle.

I bet if you run some Sea Foam thru it, it will help.

Was that the ILCO blank that was used or the Yamaha blank? Did your locksmith have the Ilco blank? I guess I'm confused since you posted the Yamaha #.

So was the back surface sanded to prep for paint? You'd almost think that if it was sanded even with a very fine grit, you'd see the scuffing in front of the paint layer. I'd love to do this to mine.

Love it. I shortened my stock screen by cutting 3 inches off the top. Kinda was forced to as it had become badly scratched by a barb wire fence. I maintained the corner radius (ie) took a wedge-shaped piece off the upper corners as well, to maintain the same shape. Still like the shape of these screens more than any other screen I've looked at.

Whoops, never mind, I just saw your post from last year, Thats an OEM screen that you had painted, right? Looks great.

I believe that living where you do is generally better for your health than here in the great white north. Unless you're the type who gets outside for winter sports regularly. But getting back on the bike come spring gives us something to look forward to over the winter and many of us don't get jaded by the time it gets too cold in the fall.

Exactly what I was going to say. That textured finish will be terribly affected no matter what you do. The heat treatment, if applied very very gently and carefully, MAY help reduce how noticeable the scratches are but you will always be able to see that something happened there.
