  1. Add to that tint issue is that here in NY, NYC and the surrounding suburbs at least, the new trend is to tint the whole front windshield of your car. I truly do not get how these people get away with it, and when you do catch of glimpse of the driver, they’re also wearing sunglasses!!! Wtf 😎
  2. Completely normal, at least in my case, some great points made above like being “alert” but not paranoid and having good and bad riding days. I got my Tracer hoping to commute to work into NYC from the burbs and once I get into the city I no longer enjoy the ride. It is filled with crazy people who don’t respect each other in cars let alone bikes, I now look forward to my weekend rides further north and into the mountains with much less traffic.
  3. I would definitely try swapping ECU's if at all possible, I think that would narrow things down for you. Good luck.
  4. Went to get my suspension set up at Washington Cycle Works in NJ, I haven’t been riding for a long time so I didnt think I was experienced enough to notice a suspension tune but I sure did immediately after this. We have a lot twisty roads up here where I live and I am getting more comfortable each time I ride to push the bike further, but I always felt uneasy leaning the bike as far as I know it could go, after the set up it was so much easier to do, I can only only imagine what swapping out the spring for a upgraded one would do, thats on the wish list for the future.
  5. Installed the Booster Plug, wow, if you do city driving like I do in NYC, this thing makes it sooo much better! Stuck in slow moving traffic without this was tiresome, Now I can literally crawl along in first with the clutch fully disengaged.
  6. I didnt compare them side by side but they look the same to me.
  7. I got the standard length, they are a very good upgrade imo, at least for me and my embarrassingly small hands, the clutch works just fine with the cc.
  8. I use them and like them, noticed less vibration on the bars, I think they're worth it. Fit was just fine on the bike, I used the air compressor method you can find on Youtube, went on in a minute and didn't have to deal with the soapy mess.
  9. Thanks man, I need to get off this forum so I can stop spending money.....
  10. I was actually thinking about that today, lol, might have to look into that.
  11. Hit 83* here in NY today, absolutely had to ride, after installing the Grip Puppies I now notice the vibration in the foot pegs, it was there before but now that I dont feel it as much in my hands I notice it more there at higher speeds. I agree with everyone else though that it is a heck of nice engine, when you get on the throttle it does not dissapoint!
  12. Just got the Evotechs delivered today, 10 days shipped from the UK, can’t wait to get them on.
  13. Made myself a little more visible.. some cheap Amazon fog lights and TS, Denali brake light and some black reflective tape.
  14. I've been doing this ever since I saw it on MCRider's page last year, very much improved my shifting, when I got the Tracer and rode it home I tried it and it worked as expected, but then I tried the quick shifter and I enjoyed that much more..
  15. Thanks, I’ve been looking at those as well but I’m not sure about the look of them on this bike, but they do have some great reviews from folks who have them, just might bite the bullet and go with the Yamah LED’s.
  16. @kilo3 How do you like the brightness of the 12 oclock turn signals? They’re on my list but would like some real world input on them.
  17. Can anyone vouch for the 12oclock labs turn signals? About to pull the trigger on these and would like to know if they are actually as bright as they say. 12oclock Labs Programmable Turn Signals
  18. Today I had the switch changed out by the dealer, they actually sent the tech up an hour from their shop to do it in my garage. I just purchased the bike last month and only rode from the dealer to my house so I haven’t had a chance to play with it due to our crappy weather, but after he left I was looking at the bike wondering where I would install a set of DRL’s I’m planning on and noticed this brake light issue when I checked to see if they were working properly. This is a concern for me as well as I would rather have the brake light illuminate as soon as I put pressure on the brake. On my previous bike, a Yamaha as well, the light came on with the slightest touch of the brake lever, granted it did not have cruise control, but it worries me enough to do the steps in the video to fix it. Thanks for finding a fix!👍
  19. I absolutely love Portugal! Been there twice as my wife’s family is from there but I cannot wait to go back, I tell my wife all the time that will be our retirement home!
  20. @WKE002 I did notice the sliding into the tank thing right away, I have the seat DIY saved to do it soon, also read up on the tires, thanks for recommendations @mikerbiker Thanks! Found one in Jersey, 1.5 hrs away, highly recommended by a lot of folks around here, I will definitely take the ride out there. @roadrash83 Thanks man, I'm in Westchester as well, Ossining to be exact. Soon as the temps get a little warmer I'll be taking the ride.
  21. Thanks gentlemen! Any advice on setting up the suspension? I found some posts but haven’t tried anything yet. Bike felt pretty good on the ride home but again that was compared to the Bolt.
  22. Thank you @texscottyd, I have a lot to catch up on!
  23. Lol, night and day difference, the Bolt is a very fun bike and I would’ve loved to keep it as a second, maybe in the future it’ll happen..
  24. Hi all, new guy here, picked up a 2020 this afternoon, sooo happy. I’ve been lurking on the forum a while now reading up on the bike since I decided it was the one I wanted last year. I’m in NY and had to drive an hour into the city to trade in my Bolt and pick up the Tracer, it was 23* degrees this morning and the ride down was not fun, but I smiled the whole way home on the GT! Can’t wait for the weather to warm just a bit so I can start riding this thing to work, in the meantime I’ll keep reading up and participating in the forum. Thanks and ride safe!
