  1. Seat Concepts said this in their add: "The forward slope from the stock seat has also been addressed by increasing the foam thickness at the tank." So I asked them "Are you willing to say that you have gotten rid of all the forward slope? " they replied: "It is very hard for us to say it is resolved for everyone. With the forks being adjustable in the clamps, rear spring pre-load and rider weight causing a variable we cannot guarantee it. On the stock 19 we used, it was level for me."
  2. You might find this increases or decreases with how you close the throttle. If you snap it shut when you want to decelerate, you might get no pops, but if you chop the throttle to say, 1/2, then you might get lots of pops. Just a guess, as the old K 4 cyl inline BMWs did this big time.

It came with the bike so I can’t compare. It’s comfortable and I don’t have slope issues. Terry adcox custom seat front and rear, considerably more comfortable, slope is a bit bettter. Seat Concepts Sport Touring seat cover & foam kit: it is very firm, far more comfortable, because the foam adds ~ 1/2", there is no slope at all any longer. Great if you have a tall inseam. I bought mine WITH a Sargent and swapped it for OEM. My entire right leg would go numb after 30 minutes on the Sargent, and I couldn’t feel my brake pedal. OEM sucks, but was preferable. If you are handy with tools and have a 4.5" grinder or random orbital sander you can flatten out the stock seat and for me with no real ass flesh it is good for 500 miles I have had multiple corbin, saddlemen and sargeant seats. None worked as well for my puny butt as just flattening the stock seat to my own tastes.

  7. I have an air hawk, and I think it makes the slope worse. Looking at your mod, for the gas tank shim, I am worried there is not enough thread length on the stock bolts for both the metal and nylon washer. I assume you are using the stock bolts? thanks
  8. Based on Rovari's suggestion, I removed the rear two bumpers and replaced them with something close to this Scotch 1/2 in. Clear Round Self-Stick Rubber Bumpers from Home Depot. I also removed my Air Hawk and I am no longer having issues with the sloping seat. I have it in the low position and it is good and tight, not loose at all.

  11. betoney, thanks. That helps a lot. My service manual also lists MTT9K MTT9KC , as in 2019 they made both a tracer and a tracer GT. So I guess my srv manual is not for a 2020, bummer. Still will be useful. So year and CA both make sense. I see CA bikes have a vapor canister which is unique. As for the B, I see Brazil sold 2020's in blue, so color is a good guess, but my registration says I have a GTLB B for orange? My owners manual also says I have a model label under the passenger seat, See attached pic, that just confuses things. Maybe the filled in dot means I have a B and the non B's are B1JG-010 ??
  12. Not sure if you are serious? There are 6 model numbers there. They seem to come in pairs, so I assume their is some clear A or B choice for the pairs, like DCT or something (yeah, I know they don't make a DCT, just an example. But then why are there 3 sets of these pairs? Japan Europe NA???
  13. I have no idea what Yamaha I own. I think I bought a 2020 Tracer GT - but The manual that came with the bike says I have a; MTT9GTL or a MTT9GTLC the Yamaha parts web site offers me these choices: MTT9GTLB or a MTT9GTLCB the PDF svc manual I bought from web says I have a: MTT9GTK or a MTT9GTKC
  14. The reviews of the cheap one on Amazon are pretty scary. And the reviews at Revzilla on the $120 are not very encouraging either.
